2012 is nearly upon us. I'd love to hear your hooping goals and dreams for the new year. Here are mine:

Permalink Reply by Sarah on December 28, 2011 at 9:08pm The most important goal is right now trying to integrate all the tricks I know with my flow. I found some good methods for this on here, so at least I have a start for it :D
After that, I'm not really sure! You seem a lot more focused than me, Tink.

My #1 goal for 2012 is spread the hoop love to every person who is willing to listen!
Permalink Reply by Erin/Lady Hoops Alot on December 30, 2011 at 6:35pm Great topic Tink! I have many dreams and goals for the upcoming year but my Hoop Dreams and Goals would be to continue to practice and increase my flow with the tricks that I know and of course learn more. As an hoop instructor I would like to increase the amount of classes I teach per month (looks promising so far) and share the hoop with more people. As a hoop maker, I would like to look into how to ship them and possibly sell a few more hoops. It is something I do on request only now and maybe a few festivals or street fairs would be fun!
Permalink Reply by andshespins on December 31, 2011 at 4:36pm to master and learn isopos and iso barrel rolls in the next month or 2. my brain doesnt compute isolations at all.
this summer i want to make it to at least a few jams and hoop outside more then i did this year.
i would also like to learn to fire hoop!
Permalink Reply by Swizzy Ape on December 31, 2011 at 8:46pm My 2012 hoop goal is the same as my nazi zombie goal. I want to hula hoop while "doing it". It seems like a great idea. Also I want to join an awesome band as an official hula hooper.
Permalink Reply by Danielle Starshine on January 9, 2012 at 3:13pm Learn to do more besides waist hoop in my reverse current.
Learn to isopop well.
Master the one shoulder duck out.
Learn doubles.
Permalink Reply by Kelly Kerner on January 9, 2012 at 4:46pm Great topic!
-dance more... flow and tricks are fine and dandy, but I can't dance to save my life. (yet)
-finally learn to chest hoop (I've been hooping since 2009 and I cannot master it)
- figure out what to do with my arms while I'm hooping
-more blindfolded hooping
Permalink Reply by michelle latrice jackson on January 9, 2012 at 11:30pm mine is to try and balance my hooping with my school and anime
get into a hoop group or club
get some hoop friends
lose weight
Permalink Reply by Caroline Krueger on January 10, 2012 at 5:15am So many hoop goals that I think about all the time. Great idea to write them down here in the beginning of the year. I could make a big list of all the moves I hope to master this year - basically all of them. :D And it's great seeing others' resolutions, they remind me of some things I'd like to do. Specifically, I would like to accomplish the following goals:
Join an existing local group that meets regularly
Make more friends who enjoy hooping and spinning
Acquire LED hoop. This one is most important.
Hoop in public more, see more live music with hoop
Performance that means something, as for children or at the nursing home or for a charity
Hoop outside every single day the weather permits
Permalink Reply by Nicole Colindres on January 10, 2012 at 8:34pm You just gave me a cool idea. How about a cool variety show at a nursing home! Seriously. How much entertainment do these folks get. As an RN and former LNA at a nursing home I can say...its a little bleak! I am going to round up all my local talented neighbors and try to make this happen!
Thanks!
Permalink Reply by Scunshine on January 10, 2012 at 11:42am Mine is to break the habit of being a hoop hermit. When I started hooping two years ago (today :D) I didn't know anyone who hooped, and that was okay. Now there's a thriving community of hoopers that I know pretty well but I always tend to default to hooping alone. I need to get in the habit of extending more invitations to hoopers in my area so we can connect and have fun together.
