Okay so I find when I am trying to film with my LED hoop that the camera gets blurry because it's trying to focus. I've tried using light in the room and complete darkness. Variations of both still seem to get blurry. Any ideas with fliming LED hooping? Also I've seen LED videos where the light trails like when you take pictures of it with the flash off. It looks really cool. Is there a certain effect that does this? Or an editing program? Also how do I get more views on my videos on youtube? The only people who comment are my family so far lol I've worked hard on them and would like some feedback.

Try playing around with the settings on your video camera. Does it have the ability to manually focus? If so, see what happens if you turn off auto focus in the settings. The trails are part of the shutter speed vs amount of light. Nothing to do with the editing. If you can adjust the exposure in the settings try setting it to manual and try different exposure levels for a given room lighting.

For cameras that don't let you adjust the exposure try filming in a darker room and you might see trails. (Although when I watch LED hooping videos I prefer to see a reasonable silhouette of the person not just a lighted hoop)
I agree. Turn off auto-focus. You can shoot a few shots and look at them to see if you have the camera in the right place or if you need to adjust the focus somehow. Usually I just move the camera a bit and it works out.

Also, if you're using autofocus, make sure there is nothing else in front of you or behind you that the camera may be switching the focus between.
Some cameras also have a preprogrammed setting for fireworks or stars. This setting is great for fire or led. You really need a tripod to get the best results though.
Thanks so much for all of your replies! This really helps me out a lot!
Your Youtube videos may get more hits if you tagged them with keywords and included more keywords in your titles.
Thank you, I'll try that :)
