So I'm going to be going to an outdoors festival/rave at the end of this month. And I'm afraid that it will be cold outside, though I have a hard time hooping with pants and long sleeves. And suggestions on what I could possibly wear and still be semi warm?!?!

Leg Warmers! Sock dreams has a great selection. :)
Permalink Reply by Allyssa on September 3, 2012 at 8:08am One year I went to a rave in the dead of winter when it was below freezing outside and I waited for 3 hours outside just to find that the rave got shut down :( I also have a hard time with l/s and pants, so for cold weather I usually rock leggings under a skirt, leg warmers, and I also made a pair of arm warmers out of some old toe socks I had. Try Goodwill! Or try getting creative :)

Toe socks on the arms for the win. : D
Also scarves wrapped around the hips sometimes work for warmth, but you can't tie them, just sort of tuck them into the pants. ._.

layers of legging/tights help tons. What festival are you going to?
Permalink Reply by Tarra Holmes on September 3, 2012 at 2:07pm okay awesome! :) and I live in Montana, it's called Shine 4: Global Connection. It's not huge, but it's a really fun festival here in Montana :)
Permalink Reply by Carly Roseanne on September 3, 2012 at 11:34am I feel like the closer the fabric is to your actual skin, the less drag there is on the hoop. So something like leggings with a tight half-sleeved shirt. That way you can wear knit fingerless gloves (that's what found I wanted most when I was at a festival here in Michigan when it got old at night) and leggings or even big warm socks (another thing wish I had)
I would say that if our are really jamming out the majority of the time you'll keep yourself a lot warmer than you might think too and that you wouldn't necessarily need a hoodie or jeans ( I recommend that for when you're at camp NOT hooping though! Haha)
Anyway that's just my suggestion from my last festival so if where you are gets cold at night like Michigan then I say big socks + knit fingerless gloves + leggings + jamming out = warmth. Have so much fun!!
Permalink Reply by Tarra Holmes on September 3, 2012 at 2:12pm Yeah I live in Montana and the festival is here, so it gets pretty cold at night. I'm hoping that I'll just be jamming out the whole night ha. But knit fingerless gloves is such a good idea!! Thanks much!!

Permalink Reply by Moonshadow on September 3, 2012 at 1:32pm I have an extremely hard time hooping in sweat pants, because they are so baggy. As long as you wear tight layers, you should be fine. I suggest wearing leggings or yoga pants, tight shirt/ sweatshirt, legwarmers, warm socks, arm warmers and a warm hat. Most of the heat from your body escapes through your feet, hands, and head, so socks and a hat are a must. It's really hard to hoop with gloves on, so I suggest wearing work gloves if you can find them. I worked at a warehouse over the summer and we had to wear gloves that were cloth on one side and rubber on the palm side. These will probably keep your hands warm as well as give you grip so that you can still use your hoop effectively. Also, I would recommend wearing waterproof shoes/boots. I've been to some pretty cold festivals and the worst part about them was that my feet were freezing because my shoes and socks got wet from the dew on the ground.
Permalink Reply by Tarra Holmes on September 3, 2012 at 2:16pm Yeah sweat pants are impossible for me to hoop in! I wish I could though ha. But I have a lot of yoga pants, so I'm going to try practicing in them to get it down. Leg warmers will be a must! A hat is really good idea! I didn't even think about that. I need to get some nice warm thick socks for sure!! :) Because the last thing I want would be to have my feet wet!
Thanks for the ideas!!
