Anyone have a Polypro LED Moodhoop? Question about connections...

I'm considering buying an LED moodhoop, and have heard nothing but good reviews. I'm a little confused though, because I think I remember hearing somewhere that moodhoops have chunky connections (areas of tubing that are thicker than the rest of the hoop) but in the pictures I've seen, it doesn't look like that's the case.

Does anyone know whether this is true or not? I'm guessing it probably has to do with different sizing (some hoops have chunky connections and some don't) or material (HDPE vs. polypro). If that's true, does anyone know which hoop sizes/types have the chunky vs. smooth connections? I'm interested in a 36" 3/4 OD polypro LED hoop in Neon, and I'm hoping it has a smooth connection. If not though, I'll consider getting HDPE instead, if it has a smooth connection.

Anybody have any info?

Thanks!

I have a HDPE moodhoop and it's a little chunky and the weight is a tad noticeable where the battery is but it's really not that bad and doesn't bother me. I still love my hoop but I have a polypro from hoops of Creation and when I used that and go to my mood hoop the weight difference is definitely different. I am not sure of how mood hoops polypro hoops are but I have a friend that has both kinds from them and she says the polypro isn't much lighter at all. Hope that helps!

Yeah polypro isn't actually lighter than HDPE.

I have the same side in lotus hoop. and it's polypro... and yes you're 100% correct about the bulky connector. Its not too noticable but I can catch my rings on it sometimes. It's only a minor nuisance, but its nice becuase it makes the dark spot almost non-exsistant. good hoops, just avoid doing hard impact reversals, as my last tube size 5/8 snapped when I did a reversal. The 3/4 OD polypro feels much better.

I have a 33 in polypro Sunrise moodhoop with 3/4 inch tubing. Its got thr bulky connector part but its never bothered me. Its not noticable while hooping. And its fairly light, nothing like my polypro. Before I got my hoop in a friend came to town and she had a slightly bigger hoop with smaller tubing. It was nice but seemed to glitch out with hard hiys. Im not sure how old the hoop is though or its history.
