Hello Sue and All UK Hoopers!

Great to see you all. Just wanted to give you a link to the UK Hoop Dance Tribe: http://tribes.tribe.net/hulahoopdanceuk

It has a wealth of information about hooping in the UK, and Sharna Rose has just passed the Moderating Hoop to me as she doesn't have the time to dedicate to it anymore, so I'm hoping to get some more excellent discussion going on there about the UK Hoop Community and build on what Sharna has so brilliantly started.

I help my husband with running our drum company 'drum jam'

and first picked up hooping at my best friends 4oth party weekend in July 07. Couldn't hoop at first despite the 40" hoop but soon got it :) Went home, bought a hoop, hoopgirls Yoga dvd- so inspiring & began to practise; in my room, down the river, at parties....soon me & my hoop became inseparable!
Went to Santa Cruz Hoopgathering & the Harbin hoop jam last year sept/oct which was awesome but since then my hoop skills have been a liitle slow in developing. So i'm really happy to sign up to SA fires hoop classes. Thanks Sandra, great , clear, accessible teaching!
On Sun 26th April we'll hold our first Hoop & Drum Jam at The Dome, Tuffnell Park, North London. The hoops & drums go so well together. I'm not so hot at this PC marlarkey but with some assistance I will soon upload a pic &video with hooping drumming. We'll be at the first uk hoop gathering this year 3-5 july with drum circle & of couse more hoops. Will be great, nice on for organising that Gemma

What an interesting thread this has become. Some old friends and some new just as I had hoped. As Kitty said the UK Hoop Tribe is a great place too, with all sorts of helpfull advise that you can search and of course access to the Hooping Videos tribe for all of us hoop video adicts! Searching YouTube is OK but means you miss stuff stored on Vimeo and others storage areas.

And hello to Shivani. I didn't realize that you and I had started hooping at the same time, July 07. However you are a bit more advanced than me! Which of Safires classes have you signed up for? I don't know if I am intermediate or advanced.

Just in case anyone planned to come, I need to let you know that the Leamington Spa hoop club meet planned for 28th March has had to be canceled due to a double booking.

The new date for this event is now Saturday 4th April, 2-4pm.

I can now confirm that the next Leamington Spa hoop club meeting will be 2-4pm on Saturday 4th April. I do hope everyone who was planning to come on the double-booked date will still be able to come.

And, to avoid this happening again, I can also announce that the following month, we will meet on 16th May same time and same place.

So, two meets to look forward too and by then we will be into British Summertime - Yippee!

so i`m not from the UKI'm from Germany, but today I founded a group for european hoopers. I would love to meet you there some day, I think then we have a platform for all hoopers in Europe and can stay in contact to each other.

Hi everyone, I'm based in Plymouth. There's quite a bit of circussy stuff that goes on but not many hoopers :(
I'm currently setting up a University Circus Society and hoping to convert a few more people that way :)
I don't have my own transport, which makes meeting fellow hoopers a bit difficult, but would love to make some hoop friends in the area :)

Awesome! I set up a Facebook group called Plymouth Hoop! if you're on Facebook and want to join. We're hoping to get a regular jam session going at some point :)
