Okay so my fiance bought my this hoop as an anniversary/christmas present. It took nearly two months to get it, and when I got it I used it maybe three times in two weeks, barely left the house, never touched the ground and always kept it stored at home. All of a sudden only half of the lights worked, so I figured it might be dying to I charged it. Once charged, I turned it on to discover that only a quarter of the lights worked. I emailed them and asked about a loaner, so once I shipped out mine to get repaired, they sent the loaner. Its been about a month and I have used the loaner a few times and it has spazzed out a few times while using it. Either the lights would just go out, it wouldn't turn on, at one point while hooping at a bar, I noticed that the hoop lights looked funny and sure enough, they were spazzing out from the mode I was using and was just spazzing different light colors instead of the selected mode. Now, only half of the lights work. I really needed it for tomorrow night and now I am just disappointed. I can't seem to win with this brand of hoop. Their customer service is great, but I need a hoop that WORKS. I can't afford to be shipping hoops back every couple of months to use a hoop for a month before it breaks. As a performer, this is not good.
Has this happened to any of you? And were any of you able to correct the problem yourself?
Right now I am going to keep it on the brightest setting until it dies and then I am going to charge it back up. Hopefully this works, because I would really like to use it.

Permalink Reply by Nikki Rae on November 13, 2012 at 4:11pm I have had the Atomic for a year now and had the same exact problems and yes it does stink but honestly ANY smart hoop you buy is gonna have problems it is the light strips they are really sensitive, I have talked to many people with the phoenix they occasionally would have problems and would have to send it back and I have read reviews on the Helix who seem to have waaaaaaaaaaay worse problems then any of them...My honest opinion is that hoops that you spin around, hit, throw and all that are just not meant to look this cool.
From my experiences with sending my hoop back they will work with you the best they can.
Trust me I know it is really frustrating that this happens and hopefully the person who constructs there light strips will be able to figure out how to prevent the problem just try to stay positive and everything will work out (that is what I tell myself) keep us posted on what is going on!
