Otherwise, I found nothing to buy one as our interpretation of the hoop. Perhaps with another name... a REALLY BIG bird toy? :)

I really want to make one. Seriously considerig cutting some bamboo from my neighbor's yard and doing it. Anyone ever tried?

I am actually making some in the next week or so to try it out. If they turn out nicely I would be happy to make one for you. I've been told the trick is to find greener bamboo that will bend to form easily. I am going to get the bamboo sometime this weekend if the weather is nice.

I'd even love just some tips on how you made it, but would consider buying one (not for $60 though!). I'm more of a diy person and really want to try to make them myself.

Where do you get greener bamboo, besides just cutting it off somebody's yard or the side of the road? That was kinda my plan. Most people who have a yard full of bamboo are happy to see some of it go...
