You might need a smaller/lighter hoop. Or it might get better with time.

Unfortunetly, until your body gets used to the hoop you're going to bruse in places you didnt even know you could bruse. But i promise it gets better with time.

Try using a padded hoop. You won't bruise that way.

I started with a 3/4" 160 psi and 3/4" 100 psi~~both bruised my hands (outside), hips and forearms (when I learned shoulder hooping) after the initial bruising it went away. My arms were NOT pretty! I tend to bruise easily anyway.

Thanks to advice here, I found that Arnica gel speeds up the healing by a few days. Usually can be found in a health food store.

yea the major problem is my hands and knee area, it actually feels like i am bruising the bones in my hand :( im going to look for Arnica gel, thanks for the tip :)

when i first started, i had tons of bruises! they went away within a week though, and i bought some arnica gel to help the swelling and the bruising heal quicker :)

Although we all have true love for our hoops, it's a love hate relationship. Be proud of your bruises. They are perfectly normal and every time you shake someone's hand you will have a gentle yet painful reminder that you are a hooper. I've been doing this for about 6 months now and I still bruise. Keep up the good work and don't be scared!!!!! It's totally normal.
