Hi!

So a couple weeks ago when Burning Man tickets first went on sale I waited online, in line, for 4 hours and I bought one!  I have never been but I know I want to go and it's something that I will enjoy!  Right now I currently don't have a crew to go with.  I heard there are community camps where people are kind enough to share with you  shower and kitchen facilities and a community shade structure... stuff like that. This is something that I would be so grateful for and would help me out immensely.  I live in Northern Canada, so bringing tons of supplies with me to Burning Man isn't an option.

My father has a place in Vegas so I am thinking of flying there and making my way to Burning Man that way.  Alot shorter of a drive than starting out where I live.

SO if you live in Vegas and want to road trip, let me know!  Or if you have a community camp and are willing to let an easy going, fun, hoop addict into your camp, let me know :)  Or if you are a fellow burner, feel free to say hi and give me any other helpful tips on making a great camp!

Thanks

<3 Amanda

Hey Amanda!! My boyfriend and I are trying to make it out to BM this year. We have a whole crap ton of friends that have gone every year and I am sure if you don't have a crew, you can come crash with us AK Burners. No plans as of yet, but you are welcome to join our camp if you want!!

Even if you do get together with some other peeps, I would love to meet up with you and have a jam session!! Congrats on buying your ticket (that is a first step I really have to jump on soon...) <3 SG
Cool thanks, sounds good! :)
My Dad and I are going this year.....so very excited!  It's my first year too, and I think we're going to be meeting some neighbors and joining some communities ourselves.  Let's definitely meet up and hoop together too!
I'LL GO! I live in indiana though, i gota make my way west some how!! haha.

Hey Amanda! I'm going as well! I'm not sure how I'm getting there at the moment, but I'm making my way from Calgary! I'm most likely driving down, heading through Portland, and then onto black rock. This doesn't help you much to get there from vegas, but I'll put the word out to any burners I know that might be going from there that you may be looking to hitch a ride! I myself am probably going to be attaching myself onto some theme camp or another, and if you can't find a place to camp, I can definetly ask if someone has room for a northern alberta straggler (I grew up in the north too, burning man need northern stragglers I say)! Let me know on your progress for ride and camp accomodations, and I'll put the word out there for ya girly! I don't think you'll have much trouble finding a place to camp, or a ride! It's burning man! I can't wait! Only 209 days to go!

Hello fellow Alberta-burner(s)! :)

I opted for Green Tortoise last year since I was low on time and money, which turned out to be way better than I imagined. Not quite sure what I'm doing this year, but in terms of theme camps, I know there is a Canadian/Albertan theme camp called Kanuckistan that accepts applications (my boyfriend went with them a few years ago), and they usually have a pretty good location, which is fairly key.

hey amanda! you should check out the alberta burn site and the alberta burners on facebook too, you should come down to freezer burn in june to meet more AB burners. if you still plan on flying reno might be another location for you to try cause there is a TONE  of people who go through there or fly through and rent cars.
