Permalink Reply by Oregon on September 10, 2012 at 10:38pm I have an HD Flip camcorder, it's extreamly easy to use, compact -no bigger than a digital camera and has a jack that plugs right into your computer and will load strait to Youtube/facebook if you want. Editing is easy with it's software and it takes clear video with pretty decent sound!

Permalink Reply by Oregon on September 11, 2012 at 11:09pm Check craigslist I actually traded an e-reader for my flip. But they sell for pretty inexpensive new so used you can find one for around 75.00

They sell a lot of really nice cameras really cheaply on adorama.com. You can get new or used. I was somewhat skeptical of used, but they rate it and go in detail about what is "wrong" with it. I ended up getting a camera about 40% off because of one minor scratch on the body. Adorama has everything from used digital cameras to brand new DSLRs. Even if you don't end up buying from them, it's nice to be able to look up cameras and their reviews there. Hope that helps!
My favourite for the longest time is cannon. Cannon anything is great. Amazing quality with whatever product you chose. I've had my camera from them for the longest time.... and it's still my favourite and still works perfectly fine.

i second a flip camera as a video camera
for a regular camera, i use a sony cybershot dsc-h55 that i absolutely love. i've had a lot more success with this point and shoot than with canon or nikon point and shoots. the lens is really big for being a small camera, and it is wide angle. the colors are great.. it has manual or auto settings, and it records videos in hd wonderfully. never had any problems with it.
