"Seizure of Property", does that mean it wont be happening next year?

It looks like if they lose, their land could be seized.
There very well may not be a Camp Zoe next year :(

darn i really wanted to go next year, didn't have time this year. But this makes me worried for other festivals in the Midwest like Wakarusa.

I didn't go this year either, and I totally agree with you when it comes to the other festivals. Makes me nervous.
I guess all we can do is hope for the best. The midwest is boring enough though, so I hope they dont start taking away all of our festy fun!

I dont know what to think of all this. I was at Spook and left Sunday night. I had been told it was due to taxes, if its drug related that sucks, makes me feel like it very well maybe over...

Thank you for posting this, I had heard there was something new but no one could elaborate. I will be so extremely disappointed if my lovely Camp Zoe is done forever :( They have done nothing wrong but be a loving and open place.

breaks my heart to hear about zoe.  We went to Schwag in Sept and had a wonderful, fun, safe, and respectful experience as to be expected.

Not saying Camp Zoe is affiliated with any type of drug use or production... but this is why MJ should be legalized ;)

I completely agree but the last time I was there I was talking with some cops who said they will arrest people off the premises for mj and other drugs as they come in and out of the festival but do not bother with people in the festival and are only looking for meth, crack, and coke. The men told me that they turn a blind eye to all the rest but MO being the Meth capital of the US they worry about it becoming a mecca for trade. I am a liberal girl who believes in partying the way you want but I also do not want a festival to become to drug trade zone and have the music/love/friends vibe be lost. I met several people at waka from the west coast who had heard of camp zoe and all they new was that was the place to get the most drugs in the midwest and it made me sad that is all they knew. Nothing about the good people or beautiful cliffs and running water. Just that if you need a large amount of drugs to take back to your home place that is where you should go. Sad.
