I just realized that I haven't mastered chest hooping like I thought I had. Every time I try to chest hoop, the hoop rises up to my neck. I realized the other day that when I was trying to vertical hoop, I was doing it so, but not with the hoop around my chest, but around my neck.

So I recently started practicing, and though I can hoop at my chest, with my arms down, I fail completely when I try to chest hoop vertically. I find that the hoop slips up above my breasts, or below. Anyone else have issues like these? I'm a size D cup, and I find that whenever I see youtube videos of really good hoopers they are nowhere near size D's....

I really wish I could get rid of these tig o' bitties, but I don't see that becoming an option any time soon....anyone else on my boat?

is it just me? Any advice on how to vertically hoop around the chest when you got the bust?

I´ve written something on boobs and bras that you might want to read: http://www.hoopcity.ca/forum/topics/almost-everything-about-bras
I know it´s not about vertical hooping, but wearing the correct size make a big, big difference. And 90% of you ladies aren´t wearing the right size, even if you got professionally fitted. (That´s because a store will fit you with whatever sizes they are carrying, which is usually is just band 75-85, cups A-D. Bras range from 60-130, AAA-K, and there are several onlines stores that carry lots of pretty and affordable bras in these sizes)

And, there is NOT SUCH THING as an A or DD cup. Cup size is always relative to band size.
I have small breasts, and I wear a 28DD (60E in Eur). If I were wearing a 32 band, that would be a B cup, and if I wore a 34 that would be an A cup.

Both the cups here are DD... but as you can see they are not the same !
DD cups are big in the NZ band size 18 (UK 40) and quite small in NZ 8 (UK 30)
Hey are you in the busenfreundinnen forum? I did see this image before :)
I've thought the same thing, 34DD here. Getting it from below my breasts to above my breasts takes an extra effort I have to really forward bump and throw it over the girls in one big jump. Once I'm in the sweet spot above my breasts and below my neck it's OK.
i have the same problem.
I have to exact opposite problem! I have a small chest and cannot figure out chest hooping for the life of me. I have watched all the tutorials and it always always either slides up to my neck or tumbles down to my waist after a few revolutions. I wondered at first if it was because I didn't have that "shelf" advantage of a larger chest, but now I know we all have issues. What is the secret to chest hooping?
How long do you try to chesthoop? I started not long ago (maybe two days) and am making some very small progress.
I can roll it twice now befor it goes back to the waist and if I hoop to the right (I feel more confortable to the left normaly) I can hoop some more on the chest ;) I guess my body has to get used to the movement first.
It must just be hard to do! I specifically searched chest hooping and bust because I was curious if anyone was having the same problem as me. And I have a small chest.
Guess we all just need to keep practicing!
Good Luck Everyone!
:)
I commented on this thread in October of 2010....I can chest hoop now without problems. It just took a lot of practice.
As for tips...
its all about pushing with your chest and your back. Back and forth but ALSO that shoulder shrug.
I think it was in Safire's chest hooping video where she mentions the shoulder shrug and that really helped me :)

Good Luck Everyone! Busty or no, we can do this!!

I think this is just a matter of practice! I'm a size 30G/H (UK) and I can chest hoop without problems (and I can even shimmy up the hoop without arms).  Get professionally fitted, wear a good sports bra and practice, practice, practice :)

(BTW: This video really helped me to understand the shoulder movement)
