Hey there hoopers,

I am a fairly busty individual (DD on a 5'6" frame) and have been having some trouble with chest hooping consistently. I was wondering if any other well-endowed hoopers have any tips or tricks for getting good flow, or if any other tricks will give me problems in the future! Thanks so much!

I'm a DDD and 5'6". I say start w a bigger hoop bc we got a lot going on up there.  Once u become aware of ur boobs and how much they can get in the way, then start getting smaller hoops. I find any hoop below 35" inner diameter is a no go for chest hooping. It took me FOREVER to get down chest hooping and breaks.

I have a larger chest as well. I did get the concept of chest hooping the first time I tried it, but I was using muscles I didn't know I had (not to mention my upper back was also very stiff) so it took me a long time to develop the strength to keep the hoop moving more than a couple revolutions at a time.

What I find extremely difficult to do is shimmying the hoop up from my waist to my chest without using my arms. It's almost as if my chest is a physical barrier preventing the hoop from traveling upwards. I have to really exaggerate the back push and even then it's a 50-50 chance of success.

I have a tutorial on chest and shoulder hooping where I address this directly. I can't remember the time stamp but I know it's in here. I wish I had also recommended wearing a good bra, not a sports bra, which mashes you down, but a good bra that lifts, clearing a space beneath the breasts so you can grip the hoop while it's in that no man's land ... or no woman's land ... or no hoop land .... You'll see what I mean.

Have you tried to scoop down when getting the hoop on the chest?

OH and instead of "chest" hooping try to make sure the hoop is just above the curve of where you start to form into your well endowed curvatures. If you focus on that part of the body its so much easier.

Hoped this helped you. Cheers

Thank you to everyone for the help! I think I'm finally getting it... what really helped me (in addition to practice, practice, practice) was turning with the hoop. The double sports bra trick helped a little too- I don't feel like I'm fighting their momentum anymore.

You all rock. :)
