They have them on etsy and I've seen a pattern that someone posted on here but I can't remember which discussion it was under. There are definitely lots of avenues. They're usually called "leggies" and google should be able to help you narrow down what you're looking for.
Google "Fluffy Leg Warmers" or "Fuzzy Boot covers" and youll find tons! here are a few links:

-I got mine here and theyve held up through 2 burning mans, a Coachella and are in perfect condition. Except for a few twigs/branches in them haha.

Dont forget to post pics when you get them/make them!
one of my friends makes them out of old sweaters!! she resuses the sleeves!!!!!! you can get some from like a thrift store or something or even use your own....save $$$$$$!!!!! happy holidays!
Oh fun!! Never would have though of that, I was thinking of how to make your own from scratch. Reuse/recycle! =)
AKA: Cyber Fluffies!

I am making a pair. Save your dosh and make your own! I got long pile red faux fur, a meter and a half, at Fabricland for around $13. Here is a video tute I found which is good but I think needs adapting:

Then Ilaniowear, a funky clothing design company, ceased to be and posted all their patterns for fans to use

If you google them you can still see what there stuff looks on their site, and they have these awesome thigh high numbers called "Leggies." For me, after I perfected my Cyberfluffies perhaps?
Rad! I didnt know Illano went out of business, thanks for the link!
I got mine at Lovers Lane theyre cute, hot pink and have glittery strands
ebay is GREAT I found some in Europe for $7. Just search for "Fluffy Leg Warmers"
I make my own b/c I think the ones you buy aren't flared out enough.
The trick is measurement. You must measure your calves carefully.
One you cut out the shape should look like a triangle with the very top cut off... (Sorta)

Also another trick if you are going to use a sewing machine... I have kind of a cheap sewing machine but it does the job.
However, the fur likes to get stuck sometimes and jams my needles and sometimes even breaks them.
So if you cut the fur off of the material (Only where you're sewing the seam) it makes it much easier on the sewing machine and on your emotions.
I want some of these. I just got a very basic sewing machine to try and learn how to sew, mostly to make alterations to my clothing and to upcycle. But I just might give making some of these a try once I learn my machine!
I've never tried these, but it seems like they would make your legs really, really hot/sweaty. Do they?
They can get hot, it depends on where you are. Hot days are rough unless you are practially nekked (hence gogo outfits haha) but normal weather I never get too hot. I just were someething shorter so my body heat doesnt rise too much. Plus mine breathe some.
