I would assume most of the people take dance lessons or have a membership at the gym which allows them access to the nice hooping space.

If you cannot afford a membership somewhere else an idea is to get some mirrors to use at home. My friend got 3 huge mirrors for her apartment off craigslist for pretty cheap she just had to pick them up and get some guys to help carry them up the stairs. I'm thinking 2 of them were about 3 x 5 and the other one was larger. I am thinking I might have to see if I can find some and put them in the garage to hoop this winter.
We're working on securing a spot for the winter months, but it's hard to find a space to match eveyrthing you need (don't forget to add in high cielings... most dance and yoga studios have low cielings in our city).

Anyway, I hoop in my living room and found a big round mirror for $5 at a yard sale. It works perfectly for me!! =)

oooooo. def going to look into that thanks!!!
My gym won't let me & no room for mirrors at home, so my cheap trick is teachers' mylar sheets glued to foamcore. Not the clearest image but better than nothing!! I stick it behind a cabinet when not using it.
whats myar sheet? where do i get that?!
myLar-- I got it at a local teacher's supply store. Warning: this doesn't give a true mirror image, but a blurry, somewhat distorted reflection. Still better than nothing + super-light, cheap & unbreakable.

This isn't where I got mine but it's a very similar product.
I have a membership at the leisure centre in my city that has a big fitness room, im allowed in there when there isnt classes and now i have my own hoop class there :)
Ikea also sells mirrors for $10 each. You can just buy 3 or 4 and put them next to each other.

Also, getting a gym membership is worth it. Most Bally's are decreasing their memberships down to $20/mo. If you can wait til the new year there's usually a deal at about every gym.

You are from Cali? Doesn't seem like it gets too cold right?
thats a great idea i just dont have a big enough hoop space inside my house for it! i hoop in a little area outside that i have, and i go to the park and the beach very often. i was just trying to think of a place i could go where i can do music and see and such <3 change it up a bit
Ikea as Trepan mention probably has the most verity of mirrors to pick from at good prices. A full length mirrors not a whole/wide reflaction area but might help ya out. Some stick on the well or back of a door then you have the fancy kind that stand off the well. Thats the kind I want to get so I can move it into the living area then back in my room.
