What is your opinion on buying hoops from eBay?
I know there is a person who sells 21 single color led hoops for 50 without shipping ( http://stores.ebay.com/creativedesignnfab ) and the price pretty much goes up from there for more colors. Has anyone ever gotten and LED from this person? My mother has gotten me a red one for christmas I just hope this isnt a 'you get what you pay for' purchase.
Does anyone sell handmade hoops on eBay? Is it better to have a website or sell there?
What about tape? Where do you guys get the best deals on tape? I'm really excited to start making my own hoops and hopefully selling them to balance out the cost of the supplies. The major problem I have is where to get the supplies for a reasonable price and how to sell them. The person I got my hoop from lives about 10 mins away from my house and I really dont want to sell from my home and take any business away from her because she was selling long before I was. It wouldnt seem right at all.
Sorry, Im always full of questions.
So yes, ebay. Is it a good place to sell? I know a bunch of people use etsy would that be better? And what brings in the most profit, hoops, clothes, accessories? I plan to start making it all after a while, I just dont want to start out spending a lot of money on making the wrong thing and then not being able to make the others.

One final question, what are some good hooping cities and towns? college is just a few months away and if I go out of state I want to go somewhere there is a good hooping community. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

You could sell on ebay as well as etsy. I am not sure about etsy but ebay does not cost much to list items in regular auction format so you could put a few up there and see how well they sell or how many people view them. I did check on ebay when I was looking to buy a hoop.

As for buying off ebay I have never really had a problem, well okay once someone sent me something not in the condition described but if that happens or you don't receive the item you can file a complaint and ebay will handle it and you can get your money back. But just be sure to check feedback, If someone I want to buy from doesn't have 100%, I read the negative comments and then decide if it's worth buying from them (sometimes it's just someone's opinion of high shipping charges which I think is dumb and unfair since you know the shipping before you buy).

I have not purchased from creativedesignnfab but I did email some questions and they were quick to respond. The only reason I didn't buy one is I decided I wanted smaller tubing.
Ebay has a lot of ups and downs, I myself spend more time on there than Etsy, mostly just because of prices. One of the big things is that it costs to list items on Ebay (I do not know if Etsy has this same policy) but you can include a shipping price with whatever you are selling as to not lose any money. You can only typically include one photo without another charge as well, and I think that is different on Etsy too.

CreativeDesignNFab was actually who I initially was going to buy a hoop from, but I ended up getting the same and probably better hoop from LL for a little cheaper. Personally I do not know the products, but the seller has always been kind and quick to answer any questions. They also DO have a rechargeable battery option, you just have to ask and it costs 18 dollars I believe.

I actually bought my first regular hoop from a seller named senshinova and it was really well made, only 20 dollars and free shipping. I wish I could vouch for what brings in the most profit, but I just got into hoop/clothing making myself. Really the sites are not much different, I honestly think Ebay is easier to get yourself into a pickle with sometimes though. and PayPal is actually a really great and secure way to pay for things, links directly to whatever account you need and the transfers are almost instant.

Hope this helps! Good luck with selling :)
I will most likely just sell on ebay. My father is a major ebay nerd so he would know how to handle all of that business. Or I might research etsy a bit more but it seems like the prices on etsy are generally a bit more expensive for similar items. Not too sure if that would help or hurt it in the long run. .
I've never really had any problems with paypal, only when someone doesnt pay and still expects you to send them an item. That never makes anyone happy and only causes problems.
I didnt even think about the battery on the CreativeDesignNFab hoop not being standard. I may just have to mod the battery when I get it if it becomes a problem. I'm pretty good with that sort of stuff so i doubt it will be much of a problem. Change it to a rechargeable battery or something. I assume that they will do it for you if you just send it back to them but with shipping charges it seems easier to just do it myself.
