Has anyone ever been? This is their 2nd year and I'm wondering is it exactly like it looks in videos? Or is it pretty bland since it's not the MAIN event? I'm really wanting to go this year but I don't want to be disappointed...
Also does anyone know of anymore festivals going on in Florida later in the year?

I would also love to know the details!! I live in Kansas and we are traveling there for this! But haven't bought are tickets yet!
Oh sweet! I'm gonna go too! Maybe we'll see eachother there and hoop a bit, I wonder if there will be many hoopers. Hooping is pretty popular in Tampa and Orlando so I'm hoping there will be quite a few!

Dudeee go to bearcreek in november. It's the same place where Wanee is held, on the suwanee river its very beautiful :) I'm a hater so don't mind me but I have heard nothing but terrible things about EDC, but if you do enjoy house music then it is definitely something to check out.

I LOVE house music, I don't really think EDC has much to offer in that arena though. Other kinds of electronica perhaps.

Like she said - go to Bear Creek. You'll get your dance fix there AND have a better time.

^ Agree to the above statement.  I just bought my Bear Creek ticket after falling in love at Wanee last year.  Spirit of Suwannee Music Park is such a beautiful venue with great music at all the festivals held there.  I wish EDC would just announce its lineup.  I personally don't think i'd buy a two day ticket for only electronic acts but if Bassnectar is there one day,  I will probably end up going that day :-)

I wish they would announce the line up too! I love love love electronic music but I don't like afrojack and that seems to be the most popular artist there. Hmmm, also I've seen videos of EDC Orlando and it just looks kind of dead? There doesn't seem to be many lights or anything pretty, the rides seem pretty cool though. I've heard compared to Vegas its not as good, but then again I'm sure they'd take the feed back from lasted year and put forth an effort.

I'll definitely check that out though! I've never been to a festival and I want to go to one really bad. :3

Spirit of Suwannee Music Park is definitely the best place to go to for the best festivals in the Florida state. Me and several other of my friends that live in Jacksonville like to go to Purple Hatters Ball or Florida Flow Fest, as those two are my personal favorites in close distance.

I have thought about going to EDC occasionally, and based on the trailers, it looks like a huge blast for everyone. But I do have a friend that goes to EDC in Las Vegas, and something bad always goes wrong each year, from what she's told me. Apparently the last time she went, she didn't enjoy herself at all. Not sure if the edc in Orlando will be as big, but I do hope you enjoy yourself. And stay safe as well, as its not unlikely scary things could happen .

Flow Fest isn't at Suwannee, is it?

But I agree, SOSMP is the best festival venue in the south. If you live in Jax, make sure to check out LUCKY COSTELLO! They make some awesome hooping music. :]

No, Flowfest isn't at Suwannee. It's in Bryant Park down in Lake Worth, which is like east of Wellington-ish (and also very pretty).

I am definitely going to Flowfest (two of my friends are teaching staff and juggling there as well!) and already bought my tickets to EDC. I heard rumor that EDC may not allow hoops in, though... would definitely make me a sad panda. :(

I was at the EDC in Dallas were the 19 people got hurt/sick and 2 died. It was crazy!!!

Have to agree with the festivals at the Suwannee park being the best. They are such a blast and that park is absolutely beautiful. Mag fest is the third weekend in October, and though it's a bluegrass festival and may not seem like your thing there are always a lot of hoopers and an awesome crowd. I first went to Mag Fest 6 years ago and I was a little skeptical, but I've been every year since. Hopefully I make it to Bear Creek this year too and maybe I'll see some of you hoopers at some of the festivals up there!

You should check out EOTO in St, Petersburg on Oct. 4th.  There is also another awesome show is Archnemesis which is two days later in Ybor!! There is also a festival in Lakeland that is the 5th - 6th and it looks pretty good for the price.  I know Dopapod is going to be there and it's only $55 dos. You should definitely go to Bear's Creek, I wish that I could be in FL then... Also the cruise festivals look ridiculous haha. A good website to look for festivals and shows in your area is jambase.com
