Electric Forest Hoop Troupe Contest
Hoop Cities! I'm organizing the inaugural Electric Forest Hula Hoop Troupe and I want you to come perform with me! Has it been a dream of yours to perform en masse with the String Cheese Incident? Submit an LED hoop video of yourself in costume for a chance to win.
Myself and my sister Luna Breeze will be creating the choreography, organization and offering private workshops to the winners. Meghan the Cat will also be there throwing down with us. I can't wait to share this experience with you! Contest details below:

Enter to be selected as a member of Electric Forest Festival's Inaugural Hoop Troupe!
(20) Winners will receive:
- Opportunity to perform during one of String Cheese Incident's Main Stage performances
- One complimentary ticket to the festival
- Private workshop with Shakti Sunfire and Luna Breeze
- Festival Poster
The EF Hoop Troupe will participate in daily performances throughout the Festival, as well as be featured nightly performers in Sherwood Forest.
How to Enter:
1. Create a video featuring your LED hula hoop performance
2. Video Title must contain your name and "EFHT Casting"
3. Video Requirements:
- Must be at least 2 minutes in length, no more than 5 minutes
- Contestant must introduce themselves to the camera
- Costume: white tribal electric fusion
4. Upload your video to YouTube and set as a PRIVATE video. Submit the link tohulahoopcontest@electricforestfestival.com with "EFHT Casting" in the subject line.

5. Deadline for Submissions: June 5, 2011

Oh, I wish I had learned about this earlier! I would have loved to have taken part in this contest. I'm from Detroit and will actually be back in Michigan during the time of this festival. Rats! Perhaps another opportunity will arise at a later time.

I want to say an enormous thank you to Shakti and sis and all others involved with this process. Although I didn't enter because of this and that, I think that the contest was a brilliant idea and opportunity for hoopers, especially those who are Cheese fans. I think it will be such an awesome event! I wish that I could be there. I can't wait to see footage of it!

I had a friend editing my video and he was supposed to summit it and do all that for me well he never did it. I was so upset that in video didn't even make it into the contest. I'm still really excited to see all the winners and just hoop at EF! I cannot wait to meet some of you who will be hooping too. There will be so much to learn and share. I also can not wait for the hooping work shops. I think they will be amazing!
