Hey so I'm working on making some stuff... some tulle tutus which are coming out pretty well :) I want to make one of those skirts with just the strips of different fabric that i always see girls wearing at festies and stuff. i'm sure it's super easy and you probably just do it the same way you make tutus with the loops and what not?? does anyone know what i'm talking about haha?

i can't seem to find it anywhere on the intermet... i'm sure i could do it myself i just really would like to see some pictures and what not for inspiration. let me know what you guys think!! I have all sorts of awesome fabric i can't wait to use :)

this is what i'm working on right now!! it's coming out sooo good i want to keep it (i'm making it for a gift). what i have in mind though is the same exact thing but instead of using tutu material you just use a bunch of different cool fabric. i see girls wearing them at festivals all the time !! this tutu i'm making is awesome though i'm gonna have to post pictures
Nah, it's a lot simpler than that. it's not really anything you could wear outside of a festival basically you just cut strips of all different kinds of fabric and tie them onto an elastic waistband and they hang down to make kind of like fringe? but thick strips of cool fabric! i don't know how to explain it , it's really easy to make I just want to see what other people have made because all i have is a picture in my head :)
Awesome Etsy shop... my favorite so far... thanks for posting the link!

are you talking about wraps? theyre so pretty!

yes!! this is what i'm looking for :) i have tons of cool fabric to make it with but am looking for inspiration before i get started! thanks for understanding my shitty explanation

Well I stole that from etsy. This seller makes amazing wraps! It seems like she sorta bunched a bunch of strips of fabric at the top, and sewed them together with a sewing machine.

It looks more like she weaved them and then it just hangs from the vertical strips.

yea you can definitely spruce it up and make it really nice and sew it .. wish i had a sewing machine btu i'm gonna see what i can do without one :) wish me luck!!

check this one out.... a little different than what I had in mind but i want it so bad!

That layer skirt would be easier to make in my opinion. if you lay all of your materials out and just sew the elastic on top of it, folded over, it catches all of the fabric and just sew through it all. I don't think that sentence made any sense, but those skirts seem much easier to make than the wraps. equally as pretty too!
definitely time to invest in a sewing machine
