I will be attending vibes... I am so excited.  I sadly cannot help you with your quest for a polypro hoop but I hope regardless we can meet up and hoop :)!

Yea, Vibes isn't the best festie ever, but I am very low on resources this year, so a long trip was out. Connecticut is only two hours from me, but I think the thing that made it a definite is the fact that Primus is playing once more- and on my birthday no less! I'll never be able to resist the pull of Les Claypool- no matter what sketchy venues he chooses to play at XD

This is my first year attending Vibes.  I have been to All Good and Wanee before this and they were both so wonderful. I have heard mixed things about Vibes but am going in with a positive and open mind. I hope to gain the same fantastic experience from Vibes :P

I TOTALLY echo what Alena said- despite all the shit that I've heard I've always managed to have a good time at the Vibes. One thing I like to stress to everyone is DON'T GO IN THE WATER! I live on Long Island & worked for an environmental organization for 2.5 years and I don't even want to begin to tell you how nasty the LI Sound is. You'll see a lot of people going in, but I beg of you- don't do it! [/rant]

But yea- bring a good crew, meet some sweet people, and I guarantee no matter what happens it'll be tons of fun =]

Yea, I don't leave the festival grounds if I can avoid it. I'm thinking about venturing out this year to get ice at a not so astronomical price, but we'll see. Given this year's line-up I don't foresee myself having much time to do anything other than run back to the tent to eat and then get back to the music!

I also love the rock statues that people do- where they balance rocks on top of one another. I've always wanted to go up to one and poke it, you know, to make sure it isn't glued together or something XD. I've never done it though because I know they're not glued and I don't want to ruin someone's hard work!

Who else is going? Sally & I can't be the only ones =]

I bought my ticket super late in the game.. mine was around 220 dollars when all was said and done.  And funny you bring up the rock statues.. I was just up in Bushkill, PA yesterday and was adding to the rock statues all over the place I found there. They make me happy :)
