so my last discussion that i posted was because i needed a new car.

i got one, from my mechanic, its a 1997 honda civic (and no car payment yaaay!)... but.....

i can barely fit my hoops in it! i knew it was small but jeez!

my 40" can fit in the backseat, but i have to bend it to get it in... and it can't fit in my trunk (thankfully my 36"ers fit.. but still.)

what do you do if your hoops don't fit in your car?

Hmm... I have a honda civic and I remember having a similar problem (we now own a minivan that I drive).

However, do the back seats fold down? In my civic they do. That should give you some extra room and hopefully allow you to store them.
i'm not sure if they do or not, since i just got the car on tuesday and am still trying to figure out how everything works.. its a 2 door though, which i'm sure is the majority of the problem hah! i think they must do something since in the trunk it looked like i could have more stuff in... but i'll have to look at it a little further.
Tie them to the top with bunjees! :)
A sports/bike rack might fix your problem with little fuss :]
You should be able to retrofit them into collapsible hoops with a small amount of effort. You can either put in another connector opposite the first one to make an infinity-style hoop, or put in a quick-release button so it can be taken apart at the seam and circled down smaller. If you need instruction on how to do this, it would be helpful to know if you made your own, and what kind of taping do you have? Also, you will need to have a few basic tools that depend on what type of refit you want to do.
I have something like this

It is pretty heavy duty but i already had it for my bike and it works amazingly i can fit at least 20 hoops on it and it keeps my fire hoop from stinking up the car when going to shows. I can also safely fit a bike and my tent on it when i'm going to festival shows.
Gretchen - I would love to know where you get your quick release buttons. I've been looking for something like that online for ages and just can't find the little suckers!
i'd like to know where these are available as well
i believe the site I get them from is grainger.com or something like that I will track it down.

if you have a drill you can make them.
i also suggest pop rivet gun because pop rivets hold the other end of the connecter in place really well
This is the link: http://www.mcmaster.com/#catalog/115/3291/=6ztbby
Quick-Release Button Connectors for Telescoping tubing. (A)Single button -Dog leg zinc-plated steel, quantity 10. . Part number 94282A250. . . . $6.25
You will need a 1/4" drill bit as well.
Take down the ridges on one end of the connector, insert the non-sanded connector end into your tubing. The hole for the quick-release button should be approx about 1/4" from the seam in the side with the sanded end. You can insert the connector and drill it all at once, or, drill into the tubing and then insert you connector to drill . I hope this makes sense.
THANKS!
I'm so excited that I get to come on Monday! Where is the barn exactly?
Gretchen, I'm glad I read this again! I don't think I retained all the info the 1st time around! ;) If you have some extra buttons, maybe I can snatch them from you the next time I make it out to A2 for a hoop night. I'll let you know whn I'll be there next!
