so my last discussion that i posted was because i needed a new car.

i got one, from my mechanic, its a 1997 honda civic (and no car payment yaaay!)... but.....

i can barely fit my hoops in it! i knew it was small but jeez!

my 40" can fit in the backseat, but i have to bend it to get it in... and it can't fit in my trunk (thankfully my 36"ers fit.. but still.)

what do you do if your hoops don't fit in your car?

You want me to send a couple? Or, stop by the store sometime?
Hop over to your local sears or sears automotive, they have cheap bike racks there. One of the people there will usually install it for you for free too. They have those basket carriers for the top of your car as well. Which could prove to be useful in other areas of life aside from hooping (are there even any other areas of life really though? :D)
Yeah I sell hoops and drive a VW Beetle...not the best of both worlds lol
I would thing one of those shell looking things that go on top of your car.. not sure what they are called. But your back seat should fold down
Be warned that the shell things will destroy your gas mileage!
yeah go for the BASKET and not the shell. The basket just looks like a wire metal cage on the roof that you can put straps over.
Ok...I drive a Yaris. It is TINY. It's a 2 door and I have NO trunk. I just cram them in the backseat, I have not met a hoop yet that i couldn't get in my car. I have to squish most a bit to get them through the door, but they fit once they are past the door jam :)
I have a 1989 honda civic wagovan. Although the hoops fit, nicely, in the back seat, that wasn't the case for my toyota camry. I would get some strong, 'thin-ish' rope, and ie them down to the roof of the car, running the rope twice around the hoops, then down through the windows (or door, but watch out for automatic seatbelts, having a tie down will break them) and loop them through whatever you may have, 'oh shit handles', hanger hooks, the door itself. It won't help the aerodynamics of your car, and may waste a small amount of gas if you are traveling far. I live in pa and took mine to michigan and got about 30 mpg highway, (with the camry). I used some sort of parachute rope my dad had chillin in the basement. That stuff REFUSES to break under any circumstance. I would make sure you don't do this with LED hoops, or Fire hoops, you never know when you will run into some rain or other circumstance that could ruin the electronics or kevlar wicks.
Or, if the hoop is a tandem hoop, or is just ridiculously large, you can fit it around the cab of the car on the outside. you might have a problem opening your doors, but I saw a girl do that at the first rothbury festival. But unless your local/state gov. has a law saying you need roof racks, I would just buy some string. It's worked fine the 400+ times I've gone anywhere with my hoops!
