hey hoopers, so I know there is already a lot of forums on HDPE vs Polypro tubing for LED hoops but I am wondering if anyone has purchased a polypro LED and then wished they had opted for the more sturdy HDPE? Thanks!

I've had two Polypro fire hoops crack on me. Polypro is worth it if the hoop in under warranty.

all my polypro seems to crack eventually but I am really rough on my hoops. They have never cracked so hard that they broke though..

One of my friends polypro shattered like glass when it bounced on the ground .

My friend has an HDPE Cosmic LED, the one that folds down into 2 minis. It kinked and cracked after being collapsed into the minis

My roommate's HDPE coil down kinked and cracked after a 2 or 3 years.  She's waiting to get fresh tubing now.  It took another friend of mine about a year for her polypro to crack/break.  With just the two examples though the HDPE seems to last much longer.  Everyone else I know has PolyPro,....no complaints yet.

I think the kink and crack comes from trying to coil and twist the HDPE into a smaller circle than intended.

When I bought my LED hoop a few years ago, I initially got HDPE tubing. After a few months of having it, I was a bit out of my mind one night and so into my hooping that I had no idea how hard I was going... until the hoop flew into the wall and the tubing cracked.  I sent my hoop in to have the tubing changed and upgraded to polypro.  When I got it back, I was sooooo happy I switched to polypro.  I've had my hoop for over 2 years and the polypro has never cracked.
