Hello Super Duper Hoopers!
Really quick - about me - I am the advanced pole instructor for Pole Fit Revolution in Detroit, I got into hooping when a fellow pole dancer friend bought the hoopnotica dvd's and travel hoop. We had a blast playing with it so I bought a toy hoop and played with for a bit and then we decided to make our own hoops - big mistake, lol! I spend all of my money on tape.
Hoop making is just as fun as hooping, to me! I am not super good at this yet, I just hoop around the back yard for fun because I can't have a pole or trapezse in my backyard and I like being outside. Winter is coming so my hooping will move to the basement or pole studio.
For a REAL job, I am an actress at the Detroit Science Center and have added hooping to my show :D It's pretty funny - I hoop around stage while mocking a mimicking someone who is *trying to convince me engineering is cool* and when I finally get it - I challenge to a hoop off - has nothing to do with science or technology but so far everyone likes it.
I can't wait to meet all of you and learn more about you and your hooping journey!!!!

Hey Charley! I am from the Detroit area as well. I am pretty new to hooping too (about 3 months in) and have had nothing but fun learning it. Now pole dancing, on the other hand, never tried it! If I tried what you were doing in your profile picture I'd have a broken neck!!
