I don't know anyone who has used one, but they look awesome!

I think there are a few Hoop Daddy's. Which one are you talking about? I ordered mine from this one

Originally, I ordered a 33" HDPE Fire Fox.  I only had to wait a few weeks for it and he kept in contact with me the whole time and was really friendly! About 4 months after having it, I was doing a reversal a bit too hard and cracked it, so I sent it back to get it fixed and decided that while he was going to have to change the tubing, I'd rather have polypro.  Not only did he fix it and upgrade it to polypro, he also made it collapsible and it comes with a remote control on a keychain - He did all of this at no cost to me!!

I absolutely loooove my LED hoop and I recommend his hoops to everybody!

As for the battery life, on a full charge I get about 2- 2 1/2 hours out of it.  The batteries are spaced evenly throughout the hoop and it is very well balanced.  The hoop plugs into the wall to recharge the batteries.  No rattling or anything else.  I have nothing bad to say about it!

this hoop looks really instersting and i'm also thinking about purchasing one.

I was wondering do you have any thoughts on the ballance?

I have a psi hoop that i really love because it is fantastically balanced, so much so that i hardly even notice that the battery are there. I was wondering  are these ballanced well?

Thanks :)

The balance on mine is perfect. It's just like you said, I can't even notice the batteries are in there.  Unlike other hoops I've tried, this one doesn't feel heavy at all.  Mine is polypro and it feels really light for an LED hoop, about the same weight as 1/2" 125psi regular hoop would be. Even when I had the HDPE it was still pretty lightweight.

Thanks for the info that sounds great. I'm going to look in to ordering now.

One other thing i was wondering, maybe because you have had both hdpe and poly pro you can help. Is poly pro stiffer than hdpe?

I've personally known Hoop Daddy for a few years now, and I can say this. I have never known of anyone that has put so much effort and innovation into their work with flow props and arts. His hoops are so well designed and meticulously made that its unbelievable. My LED from him is super light and perfectly balanced (34"pp). Its the brightest and prettiest hoop ever! His new ones have about 100 LEDs and all kinds of crazy color changing programs and accelerometers. What's an accelerometer? Its a program that changes the hoop's color patterns when you change hooping speed or change your x-y axis. Its pretty intense. The battery life is good because you can adjust the brightness of the hoop. Mine maxes out at about 2 hours of full brightness, but if you tone it down I've had mine go for probably over 6 hours.

A lot of people always want an inexpensive option for everything, but for something you really care about (like hooping)- you should treat yourself to an amazing hoop and support the work of a mad genius! Sorry if I sound like a commercial, I just really love the gear he makes! PS- his fire hoops kick ass too!

my fox fire hoop should be ready for shambhala any day now IM SO EXCITED! im glad to see no negative feed back from hoop-daddy <3 hurray for first LEDS!!! :D
