The discussion in the "hoop face" thread brought up something I think many of us can relate to - what have you broken in the course of your flight time?  What's the WORST thing you've broken?

In my case - I very stupidly hooped in the same room as a lit candle - knowing better, but still taking that chance - and sure enough, the hoop went flying, and hot pink wax sprayed ALL over my white kitchen cupboards.  It took me days and days to get it all off, and you can still find specks of it now and then (and this was months ago!).

Oopsies?  ;)

What about you?

So far I have broken 3 over head lighting fixtures. Which was a real pain in the ass because I have three animals I have to corral into a bedroom while I make sure all the glass gets cleaned up....which just resulted in me taking down all lights on the ceiling in my kitchen....I've broken several glasses, dishes, a coffee pot, my fave/best ceramic piece I've ever made :(
What a great topic! lol

I have not broken anything yet. I've hit a few cieling fans dozens of times and I'm constantly looping up the "strings" on the fan so they stay out of my way.

But I do have to join the ranks of those that have hit their kids. :( My 3 year old got a hoop across his nose last week. He was not happy and kept saying "naughty mommy". He was right. :( Let's call it a teachable moment where children learn what empathy is first hand. ;)
i gave my self a black eye trying to do the escalator, but i also broke my leg hooping and being clumsy ole me!
How did you break your leg hooping?!
being clumsy! i have no balance whatsoever! haha! my equilibrium is outta whack! i was just trwiling and fell over onto my knee cap on a piece of wood, which led to a broken tibia! yeah it sucked, but once the pain was gone i was back at concerts hooping it up in a cast! nothing can stop this hoopa! lol
Sounds like we all need Hoopers Insurance!!!! I wonder if State Farm offers it?? :P
I used to hoop at my boyf's old place and his roomie (actually Safire's Boyf) had this awesome hanging paper lantern that hung all the way down to the floor.

Well, I hit my hoop into that thing about 50 times and messed up the paper a little bit, yes, but nothing too bad. But on one occasion, Safire and I were hooping in the livingroom trying to figure out a move together when both our hoops BAM killed the lantern for good. We both just felt so bad as he came running out of his bedroom yelling MY LAMP MY LAMP MY LAMP. hahahaha.
well, i haven't really broken anything yet because i only hoop outside or in the garage, but i did have an embarrassing flying-hoop moment. The very first day i learned to hoop, i was in a large class with 20+ people, and the teachers had just finished teaching the beam up move and were walking around helping people, and i tried to do the move...but of course the hoop flew out of my hand and came within 2 inches of whacking the teacher. The teacher was KC from Bella Fuegas (i dunno if anyone's heard of them, they're pretty famous hoopers as far as i'm concerned), so that just made it more embarassing.
I expect this to happen when I am teaching. If you are not dropping or throwing your hoop, then you are not pushing yourself enough. :)
haha well it's good to know...i'm sure i wouldn't have been the first person to hit her with a hoop. still, she just didn't seem like she would've taken it very well if it had hit her. the classes were impersonal, because it was only a one-time class with about 20 people, so that might have contributed as well...
knock on wood but nothing broken yet, just loads of marks and scuffs on my walls & ceiling!
