I'm glad you brought this up! I need some advice as well. I just got my first paycheck from my new job, and what better way to celebrate than by purchasing my first led hoop? But I DO still have bills to pay, so i need something low cost thay will last me, nothing fancy. I was looking at one from ecogroupe on ebay and it looks sweet, blue with colorful strobes when you swing it around. Its marked down today only for 60 so I want to jump on it, but i've never heard any reviews about the supplier. Has anyone had experience with ecogroupe hoops? It says ultra lightweight but it doesn't mention the type of tubing. Or should I just pay the extra bit and go with mood hoops? I want to be super sure I'm happy with whatever I get.

I have read a lot of bad reviews about Eco groups lately! I myself bought one and after a while the LEDS began to dim and then stopped working completely. I ended up just getting a mood hoop and although I had problems with it at first they fixed it and it now puts up with all my reversals and breaks just fine :-)  (I did get the poly pro upgrade too!). They have ones that start at 69$ so really not all that much more!

don't buy from ecogroupe!!! 

it will be a waste of your money. i promise you that.

i have a rainbow hoop from him and i like it. its a nice starter. no problems with mine and the poly pro is so nice

I don't own a moodhoop, but i've tried out plenty of them while at festivals and they are amazing.  They're really light weight and so easy to use.  Just beware that with lighter tubing, it's more likely to warp.  I've also heard that Citva Creations on Etsy is good, if you're looking for a cheap hoop. Poly pro will cost extra, but it's totally worth it.
