hooping at children's birthday parties and children's hoop performance...

i was thinking about the possibility of sharing hooping at children's birthday parties this summer and was wondering if anyone else has ever had the opportunity to do this...i am curious to know what you did with the children and what a good compensation would be for the time there. i am also going to be bringing hoops to a festival at the end of the summer and cultivating a little performance with children there to share at the gathering. oi! i have never done this before. somehow the idea seemed to flow and the woman coordinating the festival thought it was a great idea...it is the eastend green fest so basically the root of it is all based around living sustainably with mama earth. i would like to tie in this theme with our hooping and i thought i would see if anyone had any ideas or thoughts. thanks so much for your insight!*

I am glad that I found this post. I wish the link someone gave wasn't broken. I was approached by a neighbor's family member about doing a party for her girl. Her and I had been talking at a halloween party and I told her about my hooping. So last night she told me she would like me to come over. I told her I could bring some naked hoops, have the girls tape them, and them teach some tricks. The price I gave her was $15 a person. Do you think this is a fair price? I am going to let the birthday girl make hers for free, of course. I'd like to hear anyone's opinion and/or experience with this. Thanks!! Peace.

I am little late on reading this thread but greatly appreciated it! Im hosting my first birthday party this saturday for a 6 year old girl and was at first daunted by the task but as usual hoop city provided me with some great ideas. Pricing wise, I had asked for 50$ base pay for the two hours and then 15$ per hoop. The dad guaranteed purchase of at least 10 hoops and seemed incredibly happy if not shocked by the price, definitely think I could have gotten more. How much have others charged?
