I got one a while ago and they are amazing you charge them up of your laptop and then they last for around two hours and are surprisingly loud. I think they are a fantastic option for a solo hooper, allso they are quite cheep around $10-15

I clip an iPod shuffle to myself and use headphones.

I have worn a tight hoodie, put my ipod in the pocket and wrapped the earbud wire insed the hoodie and through the neck to my ears. Works much better than expected if the wire isn't too long.

Yeah I have used earphones but the wire gets caught and sometimes I rip it out of my ears when I am hooping

If you get one of those tiny ipods with a clip, you can clip it in you hair and wrap a ponytail with the excess cord.

For serious, I have bluetooth headphones for my music and I don't know how I hooped without them before.

I clip an iPod shuffle into my hair.  Doesn't get into the way of the hoop at all.

I have a Sony Walkman W-series which really works out well. It clips in my ears and around the back of my head. No hanging wires, nothing on my body.

I use my mp3 player with headpones. you can secure them with a headband or a hat so that they don:t fall off and put the cable underneath your clothing. That works just fine. :D
