How much do you love your polypro? I just ordered some polypro tubing......... It is very costly and I am hoping that I will love it. I have a Cosmic LED polypro but it is heavy. The first hoops I've made are black PSI190 tubing. Any insight will be helpful.

I adore polypro. It's lightning fast and extremely responsive esp. with breaks/reversals. It's really light-weight and makes off-body stuff a dream. When I first switched, I was using hoops I made from 125 psi irrigation tubing, which is already lighter than 160psi (the heaviest I've used), so the transition was pretty simple. However it is a lot faster than heavier homemade hoops and could be frustrating at first. I found that I tend to spin more when I'm using my polypro hoops.

How big is your polypro and how big are the 160psi? Whats the size difference?

I love my 36" poly pro hoops, but i'v started playing with a 34 which is ok but for me 36" is where it's at :) my first hoop was a 38 160 psi

i adore my polypro, and will never look back! a few months ago i switched from a 41" 3/4" ID 100 psi black hoop to a 37" 3/4" OD polypro and it has made a huge difference in my hooping. when you're switching from heavier tubing, polypro can be frustrating at first. it took me a solid week of trying before i could even chest hoop properly with it, but once i got the hang of it, it opened up a world of new possibilities. so if you struggle a bit at first, stick with it! it's worth it. enjoy!

Thanks.

I love my polypro hoops now, but when I first got them, I didn't like them as much as I had hoped. Now they are my go to, a year later. They were a little too unforgiving and fast for me to love them completely when I got them after hooping for 6 months.... I learned a ton from switching back and forth from the poly and heavier hoops though. The contrast was very illuminating and helped me pay attention to the weight of the heavier hoops on my body.
