This is a random question but does anyone have any advice on how to get someone to STOP following you / copying you / stalking your internet life?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXsmfwBLkDk

I do not respond or play back into their little games...I just want it to end? Thank you for your support, means a lot

Public shaming, such as this will hopefully work. (If they're reading and have a few neurons to rub together).

I'm so sorry that this is happening to you, the wording you're using makes me worry about you during this because you've written as if you've got something to justify, "I do not respond or play back into their little games". You can't control how someone acts towards you. There are things we can do, like not responding and playing back, but ultimately you can't stop them until they start breaking laws. I guess that's what's really creepy about stalkers and people that seem to be stalkers. You are not at fault for this though.

What kind of actions does this person take? Do you mind if I ask? And really don't respond to that if it would upset you. I don't actually need to know.

Keep safe, all will be well. Lots of people deal with stalkers, which doesn't make it easier, but you're in good company.

Not good. Especially because they know you're uncomfortable. : ( *Back rubs*

It sucks because people who are stalking you want you to focus on them. They want to piss you off. They really just want your attention. I had an ex friend stalk me, even on this site. She even made fun of my paralyzed leg on this sites statuses. Well, I childishly punked her out on youtube. She's one of those heavy set girls that takes hundreds of pictures of her face within 5 minutes. She uploaded more than a thousand pictures on my computer of her face, even hooping videos. She no longer bothers me. I think the only way to stop evil "bitches" is to "bitch slap" them.

Like if you are at a party and this person is bothering you, tell him/her it'd be best if you guys had a hoop competition and the other guest can judge. Just punk them out once so they'll know not to stalk you.

Reality is never as shiny as imagination.  When someone puts you on a pedestal, It almost doesn't matter what you do, it'll get polished up in their mind and made perfect.  I found that getting to know my stalkers (all 3) eliminated the problem entirely.  Once they get to know you, it's really hard to polish your shared actions into that of a goddess.

I say, invite them out to dinner, pick your nose, wear sweats, snort when you laugh, slap when they tell a joke, whatever.  Whatever feels natural and socially unacceptable.

that sucks you have to go through this doll, have you asked them to stop? :(

wait wait wait... maybe the boyfriend likes you?? is that why shes stalking and trying to be like you? is he from your hometown as well?

THAT is bizarre!! i would just leave that boyfriend (she obviously wasn't top of his priorities) then never talk to or think about the other girl again. I truly hope this messed up situation turns out for the best sweetie pie

what? I'm baffled as to why she would be with the guy in the first place. Or why he would tell you that if it's his girlfriend. He sounds like a screwball as well. F-ed up priorities.

How do you know he wasn't just spinning tales and exaggerating the whole mess if he's into you? Maybe he needed a reason to talk to you? It just seems really weird. If he thought her stalking was a real problem, I doubt he'd be with her...

aw yanno this is good advice. my life is great right now, and has been these past few yrs especially compared to where i came from and what not. what scares me the most is that this girl isn't right in the head... but i guess when it comes down to it she'd never find out where I live, and seeing as I've never even seen her in person + her having no actual friends = lower likelihood of her skinning me to wear as a coat right?

This is so scary :(
