You have to consider many things - what is your time commitment, including travel time - how many people? - kids or adults? - are you bringing the hoops? are you making all these hoops just for the party? are they buying hoops? - are you teaching a lot or just helping people jam? - is it their space or are you renting studio space?- are you providing the music? Lots of things to think about. I generally say a base price or $100 for 1 -2 hrs and then I plus or minus based on the variables. You have also know who your client is. Is this someone who has money to burn? or is it a struggling single dad trying to liven up his 6 yr old daughters birthday? is it for a corporate event or senior center?
Ex - a party for a somewhat broke friend I did for the cost of the studio rental plus a little bit more for my time and parking fee.
For a very wealthy client that wanted a party for her daughter and custom shiny hoops made for all the 29 party guests - $600

Permalink Reply by SchmodiO (Kodi Schmaltz) on May 14, 2011 at 12:40pm It depends on how many are in the party/group. 100ft can make about 10 regular hoops and that usually costs... $20 I believe. And then there's the tape and decorative supplies. Just add everything up and divide by how many people are going to be there and then add a few more dollars so that you make a profit. But that's if you're having them all make their own or you're making the hoops for them.

Permalink Reply by Siren of the Circle* on May 17, 2011 at 4:19am $60 is outrageous. The prices at Lowe's here (near, but not it, Boston) for 100 ft rolls are roughly (from memory):
1/2" - $14
3/4" 100 psi - $26
3/4" 160 psi - $33
Plus of course our fabulous 6.25% Mass sales tax of course :/
