I got a 33" spectrum moodhoop for xmas and I absolutely love it. I was so impressed by the hoop that I went ahead and bought a 33" rainbow moodhoop so I can practice twins. (Super fast shipping I might add. I bought the hoop late on Tuesday and received it by Friday in Michigan)
Only thing is that there's clearly a good inch and a half size difference between the two hoops, when they're both supposed to be 33". I'm thinking my spectrum is closer to 32.5" because the rainbow one is the same as my 34" practice hoop.
It's not THAT big of a deal but I'm just curious to see if anyone else has had the same "problem" I guess you would say. & Is it really going to effect learning twins if the hoops arent exactly the same size?

I do not think it will make a difference but if you are concerned contact Mood hoops they have wonderful customer service and I am sure that they will fix the size for you. Maybe play with them for a day or two and then decide if you need them to be exactly the same size.
Permalink Reply by Scunshine on January 23, 2012 at 10:42am I've got some twins that aren't exactly the same size but I haven't had any difficulty using them to learn to multi-hoop. If it bothers you I'd say ask them to help out but it shouldn't impact your hooping too much. as an aside, I'm loving my new moodhoop so far, used it for the first time at a rave on saturday and it was so bright!
Thanks for the input guys! I emailed them just so i could bring it to their attention. I dont plan on sending it back or anything because thats going to be more of a hassle than just keeping the hoop.

I've ordered 2 sets of minis, and all 4 of them are exactly the same size. If you think it will be an issue, I'm sure they will be glad to help you out!

I've read many reviews on moodhoops typically having incredibly off sizing. most people swear that their hoops are always two inches smaller than the size they actually order. say, you order a 38", you probably have a 36", etc. I ordered my first and only l.e.d from them last august and never actually measured the OD myself, so i can't tell ya there...HOWEVER, i do know that they advertised that if your hoop didn't seem like a good fit or the right size, they'd accept returns for either a full refund OR they would replace your hoop with whatever more appropriate size you desired--granted your hoop isn't scuffed up or anything severe. the only issues I've had with my moodhoop is a) one of my batteries i ordered as an extra just stopped working very abruptly after the purchase and for no visible or good reason. wasn't left outside--nothing. just stopped. and B) i've had issues with my hoop closing and detaching (aka turning it on and off) nonstop since I bought it. I don't know if the tubing swells and shrinks or what, but it seems to just get more and more difficult to turn on and off by myself. my boyfriend sanded the inner connecting tube some and this helped, but seems to frequently need this done in order for me to be able to use it on my own with out his giant strong manhands. the hoop itself however has been great, no short outs and the size hasn't been a concern for me personally--but then again, like i mentioned, i never measured it. good luck though, whether you decide to exchange, return or keep it!

Yesterday I contacted them because one of my minis was impossible to open and close.. They recommended using some vaseline on it, and it worked like a charm!

Yup, I had the same problem and the Vaseline worked great.

They also said that if the vaseline didn't work they would send me an entirely new cuff/connector. So if you're having problems with that, definitely get in touch with them :)

that's good to know :) i wonder if they'd do anything about my battery that just stopped. problem is, i got it last august and it's been so long now idk if they'd help at this point. i never contacted them about it, just let it go and moved on lol.

i bet they'd help you. i contacted them with a battery issue on a hoop that wasnt under warranty anymore and they sent out a new battery the next day,
also, one a hoop that wasn't under warranty anymore, one of the LEDs went out in it, and they had me ship it to them, and fixed it for free. They even sent me a printable thing to put on the box, so I didn't have to pay for shipping!! I had it back in my hands within the week. they really want their customers to be happy!

that is awesome to hear, i will contact them and see if they can help me too! thanks for the input!
