Is anyone else scared about hooping becoming main stream?

I wonder if its just me or Im just being weird about it. But im kind of nervous about hooping becoming mainstream and bringing in rude people. I mean I would be glad there would be so many other people to talk to and enjoy the love of hooping..But I have noticed when thing get main stream it also brings in alot of negative people. I really love how much love there is now. Just don't want it to get ruined I guess.

am I over reacting?
Im not to sure

OK when I first read this I had a twinge of panic too. Then I realized that there are hoopers and their are people who hoop/excersizehoop/hulahoop/know how to hoop/use hooping to pick up chicks/whatever....and I don't know about you but their is no mistaking the fanatical glee and hooper grin that comes over a true hooper. We will always know our own. So that's my take.
Fanatical glee forever! :D
I hope not but i agree as long as there nice and they like get it, not just because it's popular etc.
A TRUE hooper thinks about hooping NONSTOP! Thats what sets us apart!
well i guess im not a true hooper :( (i fantasize about chocolate and bacon)
chocolate covered bacon, bacon wrapped chocolate...hmmm
I actually dont think hooping will become main stream. I think it will stay in the hippie/burning man comminity and will become popular there, but like everyone is saying, their will be "hoopers" and then there will be people who hula hoop. It will probably never become main stream. So, dont worry about it to much, and if it does then hopefully it will just spread joy in people and no hate will come.
I hope so..I have just watch so many things fall apart because of popularity and I would hate for it to happen here. I hope that hooping will just stay how it is a bring more great people together
I think it's great if people want to get into hooping, as with anything that's just starting to get big, there will be people who are into it and practice everyday and fall in love with the art form and there will be people who pick up a hoop and then forget about it after about a week. I don't think things necessarily have to fall apart because of it becoming popular, as long as those who truly love doing it keep it going.

took the words right outta my head!

I think our power lies in focusing our attenion on what we want instead of what we don't want.
Agreed!
