oooh, i'd love to learn this :) im just learning the basics too, been hooping for about a month. ii guess this would be called a jump out? or something like that. :)

Hm, there's a similar move called a "step out," but for that I start with my hand behind my back to grab the hoop instead of in front (though I think that's mostly personal preference/comfort), and I step out one leg at a time instead of jumping, so I guess "jump out" would be more appropriate for this.
