Hi everyone,

I'm a left handed hooper, and I've been trying to learn isopops but I'm having a difficult time, it hit me when I watched the videos and the way the hoops were moving.

If I am isolating with my left hand, do I move the hoop clockwise or counter clockwise????

Clock Wise

Also it is good to learn with both hands this will probably help you to get your left hand to understand the right handed videos.

You can do both directions, it's just a different movement.

Something a poi friend told me once, and it has helped me in many ways is to learn a trick with your non-dominant hand, and your dominant hand will largely follow along once you get it.

I'm ambidextrous so I flip back & forth & don't really have a "dominate direction". And as others said you can go either way, but when I started learning (agreeing with Jane) to go clock wise -as i am looking at hoop. Then it pops off to the right, as when I do it with my right I'll pop to the left. Or that just how it seems to me, hope that helps & not confuse! :)

I'm right-handed but isolate with my left hand because I hoop clockwise.

As Jane said, isolate clockwise, popping to the right. Isolating counterclockwise is good for iso barrels and transitioning to or from vertical duck-ins!
