I am actually in the opposite boat with my bf hating dubstep and not giving it a chance . I just grin and bare it and listen to it alone or when were at parties I take him to the dubstep room till he likes it

some people just love the wompwompwompwompwomp....

I know a few people that previously never would admit to liking any electronic music, but they love dubstep. Perhaps she hasn't heard anything else, or hasn't given anything else a decent listen.

yesss!!! I have too many which stinks. All they know about electronic music is dubstep. For me when it comes to electronic music I LOVE house, trance, and IDM. I hate it when you strike up a convo with someone one about electronic music and all they know it dubstep! There is soooo much more and some people aren't even getting to listen to the beautiful sounds that you hear from golden panda, bonobo, Tycho, blockhead, squarepusher, flying lotus...etc ( I could go on for days)

I personally can't find good flow when it comes to dubstep. Don't get me wrong it is fun to wobble around dancing to it but I can only take so much. Dubstep is good in moderation I would say.

lol dont get me wrong i LOVE dubstep but there is a time and a place. like i dont get up and brush my teeth at 6am bumping filthy bass in my apartment. you have to appreciate the mellower side to electronic music too :) if someone came over my place and changed the music without asking id consider it kinda rude...but thats just me :)

i love dubstep but i definitely couldn't listen to it all day. tell her to at least give other music a chance!!

i feel ya, i would say i have a pretty wide range of preference when it comes to music. Put on just about anything and ill be happy. When it comes to my close niche of friends back home Phish is everywhere, 24/7. Maybe its because im from upstate NY right across the lake from Burlington? most their fan base is from around here and the New England area, could be the reason. Anyway, don't get my wrong im a huge phish fan myself its just they never seem to step outside the world of Phish. They are an extremely talented group of people but i believe there is so much more out there then to be all caught up in just specific group/genre.

but im a bass freakkk myself. I saw primus and just about lost it haha Claypool kills it.

God yes. I know so many boys who refuse to listen to any electro and just want to listen to dubstep. I love my womps don't get me wrong but there are times that I just cannot handle listening to dubstep...like when I'm studying hahaha
