Kevlar for fire staff

Hey folks!

My friend and I plan to make fire staffs this week using these instructions http://www.luxotica.com/education/howtomake/staff.php

I'm unclear about how much kevlar to buy! The instructions say 2 X Kevlar Wicking (4 ft long X 2 in wide X 1/16 in thick.)

So do you think it's 2 lengths of 4 feet (for 8 total) or 4 foot total?

Also, does this site offer a decent price (2.10 per foot) or would you suggest another source?

Thanks! I'm stoked about it! I've been thinking about picking up another prop for a while now. Then my friend asked me if I knew where to buy or how to make a staff and I'm like "Dude! I'll send you instructions, but we've got to do it together!"

i used this site, easy to follow with pictures, I've made a staff this way with no problem.
