I just had to share with people who would understand my excitement... For the first time ever I was able to hoop, dance and string tricks together. It was so much fun, and SUCH a stress reliever!!! Apparently anger-hooping gets results!
In other news....I can usually pick up off body tricks pretty good but for some reason, knee and shoulder hooping has something against me. With knees I'm generally a lost cause, I can get it where I want it for few spins before it hits the ground. With shoulders, it either starts getting wobbly and slides down, or it goes up to my neck. Any ideas of what I may be doing wrong? Would it help to get a video?
Thanks so much!! I'd be so lost without this forum.

^^^The BEST shoulder hooping video I have seen yet.... I wish it would have been around when I was trying to learn! But even after being comfortable with shoulder hooping (been doing it decently for 5 monthish) this video changed the way I see shoulder hooping as well as helped me to improve... I couldn't stand still and shoulder hoop too save my life until I saw this. Remember to spin...spin spin spin. Oh, and practice practice practice! I'm trying to learn how to knee hoop in my non-dominant current, and having the same issues.. I just keep thinking "anchor leg, push leg, PUSH IIITTT" then it hits the ground... but someday it won't!
Permalink Reply by Holly Roberts on January 28, 2012 at 8:19pm Wow, that video really is helpful. My daughter and I just watched it and now she is tweaking her shoulder hooping.. Is it bad that I wish she would hurry up and get out of the hooping spot so that I can work on it? LOL
