I have decided to finally buy an LED hoop! I know there's a lot of you out there that know a ton more than I do about them. Sooo... where should I buy one? Are there color schemes that are better than others? what size do them come in? what's your personal favorite? anything you think I should know?
I am so excited about this! Around December will mark my 6 month hoopiversary! This is how I'm going to celebrate!
Thank you all for taking your time to help me out with my questions (: Happy Hooping!

I love Mood Hoops. They have excellent customer service, great prices and a ton of color schemes to choose from.

I'm another one for moodhoops! I have 4 by them, and love them all. One of them is a custom and it was really inexpensive. They don't rattle, they're extremely well balanced, their customer service is outstanding! I've had a battery issue with one of my hoops, and they sent me a free battery the next day with priority shipping. I've had to send one of them back because one of the LEDs in it stopped working (on my hoop that I let everyone play with.. little kids, inexperienced hoopers..it's had a lot of hard drops, I was surprised it took as long as it did for only ONE of the lights to stop working) and they paid for the shipping both ways and fixed it for free, and I had it back in less than a week (I actually think I sent it out on a Saturday, and got it back the next Wednesday).
I have nothing bad to say about them. Their LEDs are extremely bright, too.
I would recommend getting a hoop that is a little smaller than what you currently hoop with, because chances are, you'll grow into it. Just remember if you do order from Moodhoops, they measure outer diameter, so a 36" is really what I would consider a 34-35", because I measure my hoops inside diameter, but it's still extremely easy to hoop with.

Happy 6-Month Hoopiversary!
I'd go with Hoop Daddy. His hoops are extremely high-quality, very well-made, no rattles, perfectly balanced, super bright LED's, they all come with a one-year warranty and incredible customer service. I love my Fox Fire and I'm currently saving up for the Phoenix. If you aren't interested in the designs he offers, I'm sure he'll work with you to make you whatever you're interested in. His hoops also have some very unique features such as a blue tooth module, programmable patterns, remote control, etc.

I'd go with hoop daddy also. I just bought his Phoenix hoop and Fox Fire LED hoops. The Phoenix has a bit of a wait, but all in all I think it's totally worth it!<3
Permalink Reply by Tweed on November 22, 2011 at 12:21pm It is such an exciting experience getting your first led! Where you decide to buy one and what you're looking for is just a personal choice.
Moodhoops is inexpensive but i've seen a few and they're still really nice hoops. They also have a ton of color schemes or you can make a custom hoop. Light up and juggle has a fire optic hoop that looks awesome but I dont really know much else about it. As for hoops with a bunch of different patterns: Hoop-Daddy's hoops are top of the line but youre going to pay for quality. Astral's Atomic hoop is probably the most beautiful hoop i've seen in person despite the recent bad reviews. My next hoop is still going to be hoop-daddys Phoenix hoop for sure.
I personally have a 38" color chaging rainbow trick concepts hoop. It has 32 bright leds (vs moodhoops 24) and i've had some great times with it, although its too big for me now so I dont ever use it. Like Jessica said, for your first led youre going to want to buy one thats smaller than what youre use to.
There are tons of threads about different led hoops on here. If you search the forums you'll find a bunch of information. Good luck! & I'm sure you'll be happy with whichever hoop you choose.

Lots of very good choices so consider how much you want to spend if you are using a lager thicker hoop you may want to start with a Moodhoop LED because you will want to downsize to a smaller thinner hoop in the future. If you are pretty sure that you will not be buying a smaller hoop consider Rob the Cosmic Hooper http://cosmichooper.com/
or Ryan (illuminations) http://illuminationhoops.com/products/single-circuit-hoops/21-led-h...
