Hey hoop lovers! I finally got my first LED hoop and its absolutely beautiful, but my pictures are not turning out like the beautiful ones I see posted on here all the time. I'm not exactly camera savvy so I would really appreciate any tips or instructions on how I can take great pictures and what moves look the best.

Thanks!!!

Ohh, thanks for asking this. I've been wondering myself!

wellllll, haha I am a photography major so I'll try to answer this for you. There are a few different things you can do.

It is basically all about your shutter speed!

1. If you want the effect of seeing the hooper andddd getting the light trails:

Try setting your point and shoot to a night shot setting. Or any setting you can figure out that allows for flash with a slow shutter speed. You'll have to play with the shutter speed but probably a shutter speed of 1/8 and under will work.

2. If you want to see just the trails:

This is a quite a bit easier to accomplish. Set your camera to Tv if possible or any setting that will allow you to control your shutter speed and just slow it down considerably. Make sure your camera is on a tripod or sitting stable on something for this.

*this might be confusing so let me know if you have any questions!

This is an example of option #1.

The quick flash freezes the motion of the hooper and the slow shutter speed catches the motion of the light.

This is an example of option #2. Just the light trails!

My camera has a fireworks setting and I find that works well.
