I had an experience with my first LED through Lighted Lifestyle and it proved to not be the company for me. Although they have VERY good prices they don't have good customer service at all. It took me 3 months to get my hoop initially and then when I had to get it fixed it took another 4 months before I heard anything or got my hoop back. I will say that the hoop was made well other than the fact that the part where you charge the hoop fell inside my tubing after a few months. It doesn't rattle and stays bright for a long time. Charge time is a little long but they have nice chargers that convert 3 ways. I have 2 friends with LL hoops and they have had the same troubles with customer service. I don't recommend this company if you want something quick and with good response time but if you are looking for something cheap they do have low prices.

I have had 2 Lighted Lifestyles hoops for about 2 years. They are awesome i love them. The battery lasts forever I barely have to charge it. They are super bright. They are kind of heavy but not too bad you can still do all the same tricks with them you just have to get used to the weight. The only real issue is it does take about 3 weeks to a month to get your hoop but it is well worth the weight.

On the recommendations of my hoop brothers and sisters of STL Hoop Club and Hoop Connections, St. Charles, I ordered my birthday LED from Lighted Lifestyle.

I agree 100% with Allyssa, they have the WORST customer service. They do not answer e-mails sent from their website, and I had to have my boy adventure who paid for it find their phone number on the pay pal receipt, which is not listed on the website. Not like I ever got a response from my phone messages either. I even filed a complaint with the BBB, who could not even find the company.

It took 16 weeks for my hoop to arrive at my door step. Granted my birthday is during festival season, but that is outrageous.

Now that it is here, I am in love with it. It is perfectly balanced and so bright it probably makes my neighbors wonder what I am up to. But I would never buy a hoop from them again. I am looking into moodhoops for my next LED.

I just want to let you know that if you are looking to go to a different company, moodhoops are made quite a bit differently than LL hoops. I ended up going with www.Illumi-nationhoops.com and it has been a GREAT experience! Moodhoops have a push button closure as well as removable charging batteries...this makes it a little inconvenient when wanting to turn the hoop on/off and I've also noticed when using them they seem to be a little unbalanced near this part of the hoop...like they added extra rivets and button and tape and it's a little heavier right there.. Illumination hoops are push button collapsible (so you only open it IF you are traveling) as well as a PLUG IN charger (to the hoop) and a recessed switch on the inside of the tubing to turn in on/off. He also offers a 2 year warranty on his hoops and can make you something completely custom for a little more than you would pay for a moodhoop that has already been designed and owned by others. Just a thought!! Happy hoopin mama!

Thanks so much for the info! I am definitely not going to buy another lighted lifestyle, even though I haven't put the hoop down since I got it (ok maybe it stays at home while I am at work.) But I do want another LED. Maybe I will order a "double" from llluminationhoops since they have customization options. If anyone notices, they are looking to close.

I do like the "neon" by mood hoops. I just like rainbows and I can't have strobe LEDs.

I love the neon too, but I really didn't want the strobing leds, which are all Moodhoops seem to have.  Although Moodhoops are great, I personally don't think I'll ever buy from them.  There are so many people who have moodhoops, there's a very good chance you'll run into someone with the same hoop as you at a festival.  I went with Cosmic hooper instead.  His hoops are pretty customizable, where as it'll cost you a lot more to customize anything with moodhoops.  It does take a while to get your cosmic hoop though, but the customer service is great.  He even worked with me to get the right tubing size, without me asking anything.

I don't know why Moodhoops calls them 'strobe' LEDs. They're not really 'strobing' like a strobe light. They blink so quickly that you can't even see them blink, but when you wave the hoop around they leave cool trails. I have a Neon and it doesn't look anything like what you'd think of as a strobe. The lights look solid, but when you move the hoop it leaves little sparkly trails. I like it. :)

For the record I also own LEDs from Astral, TC, EL, and an Etsy shop, along with a few other bad LED Hoop investments. They're all in my garage....

They blink fast enough for epileptics

yeah i agre, their "strobes" like pink-white-green etc look solid when they're still, with a tiiiny bit of flicker, while the "solid color strobes" like what's used in the neon, etc, look solid when they're still. however, their "sparkle" (white sparkle i think) does blink more like a strobe. what they call "strobes" don't bother me personally and i'm really sensitive to blinking/stobing lights.

So on your advice, I ended up ordering from IlluminationHoops instead of these guys, and I haven't heard a single thing back from him. I sent him an email asking for a time estimate, as well as a question about shipping via his etsy account. No response, and it's been about a week.

Did you have any problems with getting in touch with him? I'm getting a little concerned.

I *usually* do not, although I usually text Ryan because I'm a needy client lol but honestly I have been trying to get in touch with him since last week to no avail. Sometimes he goes to festivals/events so I can guess that's why he is getting back slower than normal. I will let you know once I hear from him (if it's sooner than you) if that helps! And if you need, his cell phone number is listed on the website so you can just give him a call/text if it's urgent!

Oh, ok. I'm just so nervous! I've never bought something online that takes this long to make (and he doesn't have any reviews here, so I wasn't sure how reputable he was), and I've had people just sorta run off with my money before. I'll wait a week or so before I email/call again.

Thanks for the info!
