Permalink Reply by Tink in Tokyo on October 18, 2011 at 1:44am No video b/c I need to rest an injury. Maybe these descriptions will inspire you (rather than confusing you):
vertical hh -> turn body to the side -> single weave -> weave jump thru (ending horizontal with the hoop in front of you) - pull the hoop above you -> lasso
vertical hh -> larissa (aka helicopter or twist) -> lift into lasso
vertical hh -> open the door isolation -> pull up into lasso (from top of isolation)
vertical hh -> stir the pot -> jump in -> vortex -> lasso
vertical hh -> chopper ->lasso

vertical hh -> revolving door -> lasso/halo
Going from vertical hh to revolving door is a tad awkward but with a little practice it could be done well.

chopper is a fast z-plane twist over your head. It's beautifully dramatic and you see it a lot in circus routines. SaFire teaches it in one of her classes. It's normally done in a full 360 degree circle, but you can easily break it at the point where you want to lasso.

Permalink Reply by Snowzilla of Flowlab.ca* on October 18, 2011 at 5:01pm I've got one! Not sure if you'll need a tutorial or not (and if you do - it might be the kick in the pants I need to finally make a tutorial on anything) - if you're familiar with the warrior jump-through - the motion is somewhat the same.
From vertical hand hooping, bring the hoop down onto your body with your hand as though you're about to do the warrior jump through - but instead of jumping through, leave both feet on the floor and allow the hoop to stop around both of your knees. Now, do the escalator/twizzler, but without stepping out of it with one foot. Voila - you end up in the lasso!
