Hi Guys! My wonderful sweetie got me a pair of fire fans from HOP for Christmas, and they finally arrived yesterday. SQUUEEEEEEE!!!!

I had a blast last night playing with them, and tried some of the tutorials from HOP, but I want more, more, more! :P If any one can recomend any specific tutorials that they have had success with, I would really aprreciate it!

Thanks a Bunch!

I love the look of fans! I have always wanted to try them and I actually scoured YouTube yesterday but I couldn’t find anything. I'll let you know if I do.
You can do loads of poi moves with fire fans, so check out those tutorials as well on HoP.

The other way to learn is watch loads of videos of other good fan users and break down the moves you like from those.

This video is fun and has loads of good moves in to inspire you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jl6D_cf5R5M&feature=player_embedded

Here are a couple of tutorials I found

There are also a couple of threads on HoP's forum in the ""Other Toys" forum about fire fans.

I know there are a fair few fan users on the site that will be more than happy to help you, chat with you about moves and probably have some videos they can share with you. Brenn on there used to do a lot of fire fan moves, try linking up with him on there.

I hope that helps. Oh and video your progress please. I'd love to see it.
These are all wonderful! Thank you! I did some searching the other night, but couldn't find a lot. Your Google-Fu is strong. :)

I discovered the first video you posted last week, that guy is incredible. The only problem with videos like that is that I get so distracted by the "ooooooh shiny" factor, and forget to focus on breaking down the moves.

Sadly I don't have a video camera, but I do have a birthday coming up, and thats first on my wish list!

Do you have fans as well?
No I don't. I never really felt they suited me. I do poi spin, juggle, hoop and hope to learn some more club swinging this year.

I know what you mean about watching videos. I used to have that problem when I was learning poi spinning. Maybe you could download video's that wow you and then cut them into smaller sections to watch. That way you can get a better focus on each move. It also means you can load them onto a player you can take with you, so you can watch it and then try the moves, because if you are anything like me there is way too much stuff in my house to really go for it when learning moves. I have to go outside.

Are you a regular on HoP? If you are I'm very sure you'll be able to find lots of willing mentors to help you on your way with fans. Most people on there are really friendly and helpful.

Good luck with learning.
Hi Gina,

I also love my firefans. They are one of my favourite firetools. If you like check out my firefans tutorials on our performance website. They start here: http://www.feuershow.de/ql?4149. Or you go to www.Feuershow.de then click on tutroials. Then you go to the english version and go to "Firedance" and then "Firefans". We also have other tutorial videos, especially for Poi.

Greetings from Germany
Fantastic! Thanks so much!

Anne:  Thank you so much for posting this link and for putting those amazing videos up!  I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.  You are awesome! :D

Hey there!  I like this video a lot because it's nice and slow (which allows you to see exactly what she's doing even though it's not a standard tutorial video)...beautiful routine too :)
