making minis for the first time

hey hoopers, i need some help. i've never made a hoop, i've looked up how its done and a few of my friends make hoops but my phones broken so i don't have any numbers to call them. i'm probably gonna use 1/2 in tubing, 100 psi.. whats the best way to heat them? i've read on here to cut the connectors down, about how small should i cut them? thanks<3
