I can't seem to knee hoop while multi hooping. I can knee hoop just fine when it's all I am focusing on. I can even lasso one above my head while knee hooping. But I can't knee hoop and hoop anywhere on my torso at all! Like, not even for a second. It's like one of those pat your head and rub your stomach type of things. Any tips?

ElectricBlue " you need to push your hoop in a complete circle rather than back front or side side and a lot of hoop dance work shops teach that method."

Well said. I have tried to explain this to other hoopers before but they blew me off saying I was wrong and that back/front or side to side was the best way to hoop and that I was just over complicating things for people. One, on line, even suggested that I thought I was pushing circularly but in reality it was just either pushing back forward or side side.

Having said all that I'm still trying to perfect splitting with one at my knees. The turning tip really does help. As long as I keep turning I can keep things going for a while with 4 hoops but a soon as I stop turning they all start doing their own thing and drop. I'll keep on trying until I get it.
Yeah i get that a lot too, freaking irritating some times.

One thing i have found though, when i am teaching people i explain the circle technique so that they can keep that in mind but if they are dropping heaps then i explain front back push and once they master that i get them to then work on pushing a circle. I think pushing a full circle can some times be hard for a complete beginner but i do stress that they should always be trying to work up to a circle.

The knee hoop split is probably the hardest one that i have come across so far but after i did a heap of drill keeping in mind those form points i found it heaps easier. I also found when i was learning waist knee it some times easier to do knees waist and one some where up top rather than just knees and waist. I think it kind of forces me to keep good form.
I am just starting with 2 hoops...can you explain how you 'split' the hoops? Thanks!
Hi,

I've had the same problem. The only tip I can give you is: Keep trying. That's what I did and now I can hoop on my knees and waist or chest at the same the time!! It took a lot more time than chest and waist hooping at the same time, so don't despair. ;)
I can't do it either! Knee hooping works at a completely different pace than hooping on your waist or chest so I'm still trying to figure it out...
Just made my multi hoops. Like you guys, I'm having trouble with knees. I can waist chest and lasso at the same time but I just need to get the knees down and I'll be golden!
knees waist is the hardest for me

I will be teaching this multi-hoop workshop at hoop camp.
