this isn't my dream, it's my boyfriend's and it really freaked him out so I was hoping someone could give any suggestions as to what it means..

he woke up a few nights ago really suddenly saying that he died. but the more he talks about it the more he thinks it was an out of body experience, but at the same time that doesn't make any sense either. i'll explain..

he remembers being in a white space looking at himself staring at a wall with what looked like had melting colors going down it. the him that he was looking at looked at him and put one foot into the wall and the colorful 'stuff' started to consume his leg and he remembers his leg getting really cold. then he flashed into this dome like place and he realized he was inside his skull. he wasn't sure what was happening, then he heard his voice say, ''oh yeah, im dying.'' he remembers opening his eyes (into the real world) and seeing a show playing on our tv, and when he closed his eyes, he was back where he was. the he changed to just floating. he said he felt like he was in a very familiar place, he said.. that he thinks he now knows what it feels like to be just a soul.

he remembers his mom telling him once that she had an out of body experience while she was sleeping and it really freaked her out, but she said "look for the silver cord. the silver cord will always keep you attached to your body. 

he remembered that while he was dreaming and began looking for the silver cord. it was going in his belly button, but it was going out his back.. and there were other people, or souls you could say, also attached to the same cord, equally distanced from one another.

now he is really confused, but also convinced that he knows what it feels like to be just a souls. the only way he could think to describe it was it was like his body was flexing and relaxing at the same time.

and that's about all i can remember from what he told me.. it has both of us confused and i have know idea where to even begin with looking it up. i told him to ask his mom because she is excellent with this, but we havnet had that chance to go see her yet. so i was hoping someone on here had some ideas about it.
