Hey guys -
so my car completely crapped out on me tuesday, and now i need a new car. so i come asking...

What kind of car do you drive, and do you love it?

i'll be buying a used car, hopefully (*if i get a loan*) around $8000 or under. so far, i've test drove a hyundai, a lexus, and a jetta. the jetta is by far winning, and i can still fit hoops on the back!

so tell me. what do you like?

I drive a PT cruiser. When the guy pulled it up I laughed in his face and said I would NEVER drive a PT cruiser. But OMLORD its so fun to drive and you can fold down the seats and fit endless amounts of hoops.

I looooooooooooooove my car:)

good luck
OMG, I love love love my Volvo 240 wagon! Fits hoops amazingly and is super safe. Yep they are old but reliable and safe! Check craigs list in your area. You can get a good one for around $2,000 - $5,000. Mine is a 1991 and runs like a champ!
I paid off my jetta this year and for the very first time in my 42 years... I DON'T want a new car. I still love my Jetta. And the gas mileage is still around 43 miles to the gallon on diesel. It seems like the more mileage I put on it, the better it runs and the less service I have to do to it. I can easily get hoops in the back... No Problem!
what year do you have? I looked at a jetta, but it was a 2001 and i know that was a terrible year for them. looking for 2004+ now.

we did find a great deal on a mazda protege, but alas, when my dad called to see if we could see it, it was sold :(
2003 with a TDI engine. love love love it. Good luck in finding one that suits you and your budget!
I like VW's (& volvos) BUT - I drive a P.T. It has been a reliable hoop-mobile. The other vehicle I would consider (that people say is good for hoops (& dogs) - is the Element.
I really like my Suzuki SX4 sedan. I originally went for the hatchback because its 4 wheel drive but the sedan has more trunk space (huge) and looks a bit better. It’s pretty cheap but comes with a lot of great features like a 6 CD changer, subwoofer, leather steering wheel, leather wrapped steering wheel, control buttons on the wheel and I think its 17 inch rims. So you get a good car for the money. Its good on gas and has a high safety rating. My only problems with it is that the wheel doesn’t telescope and there is a little side window on both sides in the front that you have to make sure you look around when turning left to make sure there are no pedestrians. (blocks your view a bit).
I have a 98 mitsubishi eclipse convertible.....I love this car. I have had it for about 2 yrs, I drove to Phoenix and back to Mass in it and no problems!! It is an awesome car to drive and I can fit 2 hoops plus 2 snowboards in it and still have enough room to be comfortable!! I think it was around $6000 when I bought it. But if this needs and engine I will def buy a new one and have it put in. The gas mileage is great too. With the top down i think I had about 15 hoops in the back!!!
Honda fit, really hauls for a little guy! Jettas are great though..
Totally agree! Just got my fit last May and it kicks major booty! I got the fit sport which is the mid level. love love love it! but I used to drive a Ford Escort Wagon (13 years old when finally died), not the greatest car. My husband however has a toyota echo, which they don't make anymore but if you can find a used one it's a great car.
I have a 1994 Toyota Camery Sedan. I love it!. I can fit arond 15 hoops in the truck and they also fit nicely into the backseat as well. It gets decent gas mileage (although a newer model would be much better). I love driving stick and have a 6 cylinder engine. :)
Subaru! All wheel drive, awesome safety features - pimp ass ride!
