Can someone make a tutorial for the move at :15?? I think this hooper is a lefty... I just can't grasp what's going on. I can get something like it but don't think I'm doing what she's doing!

i love this! Im pretty sure its alicia from charleston of homespun hoops..love her!
very awesome tutorial!! i'm not sure if it's exactly the same idea i'm looking for, the one in the video i posted is vertical and you have to bring your hand around your back to the front and then back to the back again. but thanks i didn't even consider doing a normal vortex with one hand =)
I was playing around with this a little today. I may be wrong, I'd have to see the instant replay to be sure its the same thing, but it seems like an isolation. I was Isolating with my right hand, hoop going clockwise (I think.) Right when my hand hit about 3:30 o'clock, I just poked in, head, shoulders, then waist, then when my hand was at about 8 o'clock or so, I started pulling back out. The hoop was back at around shoulder level when my hand got to around 10:30 and I was back out completely by 12 o'clock. Back around to 3:30 and I could poke in again. It FELT right. I also think that doing a "straight up" one handed vortex first helped me to understand some of the physics involved, where the hoop stalls, where it needs momentum. If you really support the hoop underneath during the iso, it allows time for you to get in and out cleanly. Again, I'd have to take video of myself to see if it actually looks like its supposed to, but it sure feels right. I even just did a couple "tests" to make sure I was telling you the right hands/directions/o'clocks and its pretty seamless... See if that works for ya? If I get to my vidcam tonight, I'll do some "on film" testing and if its what I think it is, I'll make a tut on it... I could be completely off track, or I could have a really cool thing thats just not THAT thing... just not sure at this point. Anyone reading, try it and see if it seems right...
