So I am about to order some polypro tubing so I can finally make all the hoops my heart desires but want to make sure I make the right buy since it is not cheap.
I want a decent amount of both 3/4" OD and 5/8"OD tubing....my hoop sizes are usually 32" in diameter or less. I was thinking about going through hoopsupplies.com but have never ordered anything from them and was curious as to if they are in fact the best price for the best quality tubing.
Also I know they have the two different sizes of coils and was leaning towards the smaller just to save money but don't want to get it and not be able to work it into the right shape...
If anyone has any advice on making polypro hoops or where/what to get for supplies it would be greatly apprieciated!!
much love!

I think US Plastic corp has the cheapest polypro tubing. At least it was when I was looking around in the summer. McMastercar has cheap polypro tubing too.
I havent bought anything form hoopsupplies personally so I cant give a solid opinion on their product but I do know that their customer service is wonderful. Even though I'm not a customer Sunny still answered any questions I had.
Larger coils are going to be less of a pain since you wont run into the problems that come along with tight coiled tubing.
I personally got 100 foot rolls of each 3/4 and 5/8 tubing from USP.The 5/8 tubing can be used as the insert for the 3/4 tubing but then I had to figure out how to connect the 5/8 together. So I had to buy some polyethylene tubing from home depot as the connector for the 5/8 polypro & that worked out just fine.
Good Luck on your hunt and making hoops!
Permalink Reply by Jessi on February 13, 2012 at 11:44am I buy lots of polypro and I always get it from hoopsupplies.com. The quality is very good, I use it for practice hoops and led hoops! Plus they also have other things I need like the push buttons for collapsible hoops and other types of tubing. Its nice to get everything in one place. If you are making 32" hoops you should be fine with the small coiled polypro. When the tubing arrives it will be coiled up super small so your going to have to stretch it out. I like to wrap the whole 100ft around something, I use and ottoman, to help stretch it out and loosen it up. You shouldn't have any problems making round hoops after that. Good luck!

Permalink Reply by Serenity Spins Sheena on February 20, 2012 at 10:50am I'm only learning about polypro tubing, but this place out of Calgary sells "Made in USA" Polypro tubing. I don't know if pricing is within reason...

Is this the stuff everyone keeps talking about?

Thanks for the link - what a neat website. I see you are in the USA...so ordering from hoopsupplies.com is a good deal for you. :) I am in Canada, so I woud have extra shipping and custom duties.
But good to know I had the right stuff.
